N/A Sounds like you had a productive weekend and that things are going well! Good for you for reading books, I bet it's relaxing! [ColoradoJen] 2004-10-19 08:41:55

N/A ryn- Hubby is a cook at a restaurant. I remember the days when I used to read for fun. that was the life. [Jen B Goode] 2004-10-17 11:01:53

N/A Things seem to be going well! That's funny about the sneeze! I've never heard that! It just can't be true! [ColoradoJen] 2004-10-11 09:35:55

N/A LOL, bummer about the sneeze, it would be nice if it was true! I've started painting the sign, I think it's going to turn out great. What's nice about making your own is making the colors match your decor. That website has some awesome stuff though, check it out, sign up for a catalogue. [VR] 2004-10-10 20:11:19

N/A It sounds like you had a rough day- I'm sorry to hear that! I always feel better after going to church too. I can't stand when my naps get interupted! [Glitterby] 2004-10-04 23:56:36

N/A I had a day kind of like yours ~ so I can relate!!! Hope the rest of the week goes better for you!!!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-10-04 21:44:06

N/A sounds like a bummer of a day, but at least your car was in the driveway and it got fixed already. hope you have a great week. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-10-03 20:54:05

N/A Nope..didn't really need to know about your fellahs bowel movements but...*laugh* Give him ex lax..keep him regular..maybe then he won't be cranky *wink* Hugs to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-09-28 01:37:22

N/A Awww, that is so sad! It makes the rest of us more grateful for the lives and health that we have!!! I'm glad you were there to comfort. I'm sure that meant a LOT! [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-26 11:23:36

N/A I am so sorry to hear about that womans loss! And you all are so sweet to be doing the dinner for them..Kudos to you! Big hugs to you kiddo~S P.S..Watch "Big Fish" this weekend if you haven't..it's stupendous! [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-09-23 02:04:38

N/A Isn't it funny how babies do that? When Jonah (my nephew) does it, I just have to laugh. [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-22 18:10:31

N/A Nothing quite like a new toothbrush is there? Though..I must admit..new underwear are always fun too *grin* I use shout it out..on stains..works wonders.Happy Wednesday Kiddo~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-09-15 16:10:21

N/A I get grease on all my shirts too. There is actually a really good grease stain remover that you can buy in the detergent isle. It's a little yellow bottle --- I think they call it "blue Devil", and there are different kinds for different stains (blood, grass, grease) etc! It's actually worked on a few of my shirts! [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-15 08:24:01

N/A Wow! 500 entries! Gee-golly, my goal is 50-lol Take care:) [Irol] 2004-09-14 23:30:37

N/A I WILL, I WILL, ?I WILL.....I think my girl, that WILL be our motto *wink* I'm sending broken finger vibes to ALL the telemarketers for you..k? Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-09-13 22:51:31

N/A Ofcourse, I meant 7 months, not 78 :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-12 09:53:21

N/A I've heard that making your own baby food is awesome. I think my sister is going to try to do that. Can you believe my nephew is already 5 months old? That must mean your little one is 78 months? Crawling yet? [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-12 09:52:52

N/A Don't you hate that --- - when you are excited about a dinner, and it doesn't turn out like planned? I did that with legs of chicken once... very disappointing :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-09 08:37:37

N/A can u please look at my diary and see if you can help kuz if what ive been told is true someone could die please just see if u can help [BrOk3nSmIl314] 2004-09-07 21:45:25

N/A I can't imagine having pink eye for that long! I hope it goes away really soon and that you have a nice time with your family! [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-06 21:15:13

N/A Having pink eye too many times to count this summer..I sympathise totally.... Hope you get better asap girl~hugging you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-09-01 23:51:19

N/A Hope your eyes are clear tomorrow too :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-09-01 08:23:55

N/A Oh no! Pinkeye is the worst! It is very contagious the first few days, so it's good that you are putting drops in the baby's eyes. Aww... hope you feel better! I hope you don't have to fire anyone. I'm sorry! [ColoradoJen] 2004-08-31 08:38:18

N/A Hope you guys are ok. Last I heard they decided not to sell. [VR] 2004-08-30 11:09:00

N/A i hate pink eye. it is horrible. besides, the baby probably was already exposed before you touched. hope you have a relaxing day. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-08-29 16:15:25

N/A Those candle parties are so ridiculously expensive. All I ever end up buying are either tea lights or votives. I wasn't too impressed with the smells this time either, I only found two that I liked. Oh well, they're fun to go to anyways. My friend told me to keep a can of pepper spray in my room if I get scared at night. I'm pretty used to it now, although I know it's not too wise if it is awfully hot I even sleep with the window all the way open, otherwise I just have it cracked with the safety locks on. [VR] 2004-08-28 23:38:21

N/A happy to hear he is slightly better. enjoy your week. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-08-28 01:23:27

N/A My goodness. Poor little guy! Do the docs know why he keeps getting sick? I think you have told us once before, but I've forgotten! [ColoradoJen] 2004-08-27 18:58:47

N/A hope your baby feels better. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-08-25 00:56:51

N/A Glad you are back writing over here!!! Hope your little guy feels better soon, poor thing!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-08-24 21:35:54

N/A I'll take them..want me to send directions???*grin* Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-08-23 00:19:08

N/A What a cool idea your sister's church has! Do they do out of state blocks? I'll tell them where I live! [VR] 2004-08-22 17:59:03

N/A Did you check the circuit breaker? Usually, dishwashers are on their own breaker. Maybe it just needs to be reset. Or if you have the make and model of the dishwasher you could get an owner's manual online. Most manufacturers put them on their websites these days. Good luck. [Wilderness] 2004-08-22 07:01:29

N/A Hey kiddo...So the 8 hours a night is working eh? Have a great tomorrow and I hope you get to just veg~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-08-21 23:56:56

N/A I say you should try kicking the machine again! I bet baby is getting cuter by the day, they are so much fun when they're babies! What is your Xanga name? I'm on Xanga too, I don't think I've seen you on there. Mine is Vickyvickyvicky. [VR] 2004-08-21 15:38:30

N/A HeY WhAt's uP?!? poor dishwasher. LOL [i DonT WaNNa LoSe iT] 2004-08-21 12:17:24

N/A We don't hear from you much anymore. How's baby? Is he crawling all over now? I bet he's cute. Don't you just love those little baby hugs? :) [VR] 2004-08-04 22:00:24

N/A RYN: I just "planted" the fake tomato on Wednesday and she has been out of town. I'm hoping something will happen this weekend but I'm not sure since it is supposed to rain all weekend. [VR] 2004-07-30 04:46:50

N/A When I first got married, someone told me that I would have bad years..I was like, "what do you mean bad years??" Yikes!!! Anyhow, my whole point is that you can't always be as in love with your spouse as you were the day you married him...You are sooo normal!!! [Sassybliss] 2004-07-26 07:53:17

N/A VR might be right. My mom has the same theory! Be specific about what you want to change. I know you have had talks with your husband before but some how the seriousness has to get across. I remember when you were pregnat -- you were STILL doing everything. Ugh! Men. [ColoradoJen] 2004-07-25 22:18:29

N/A When I read your entry I thought of my Grandma and then Glenn Beck. My Grandma always told me that you can get a man to do anything for you by praise. Even when your husband does little stuff you should tell him how great he is, kiss, hug and when he gets this reaction from you he will want to do more. Glenn Beck was talking about this same kind of thing. He said that men are like puppies. They want to be petted, they want you to make you happy. Hope that makes sense. [VR] 2004-07-25 19:32:01

N/A Hi. I think that u should try talking to ur husband and tell him exactly what u wrote in ur entry....that ur tired of being the "man" in the relationship. It's not wrong of u to want him to do more things around the house cuz every woman likes to feel protected by her hudband/boyfriend. Good luck with everything. Please check out my entries. [kttyktty46] 2004-07-24 20:16:56

N/A That's what credit cards are for, you know-emergency expenses. That whole situation with your sister is tragic. [Jen B Goode] 2004-07-21 11:12:58

N/A I hope Sister's hubby continues with the counseling until he works that all out. There are probably workbooks you can order online to help with that. I would do a search for something like "overcoming child abuse". I also hope your Sister keeps a very watchfull eye on the baby and how hubby reacts to different situations. I hate seeing people be mean or downright abusive to children. I once had to take Tristan's father's hands off of his neck for him crying - he was 2 or 3. Sick. Thank God he never has to see that idiot again. [VR] 2004-07-20 05:46:54

N/A I'm glad your son is doing better. Did they ever find out what exactly he has that makes him sick? [ColoradoJen] 2004-07-19 23:40:03

N/A RYN: All is well on the bleeding front... [Sassybliss] 2004-07-19 12:05:34

N/A I know what you mean about eating out a lot, we've been doing it way too much too! [ColoradoJen] 2004-07-17 09:18:10

N/A Hope you had a nice 4th of July!!! Bad Santa was absolutely hilarious, I thought. Did you know that that was the last movie John Ritter was in the middle of filming when he died? [ColoradoJen] 2004-07-06 08:51:48

N/A I have no doubt the lil guy will be just fine..one of many bumps to come *grin* Have a great week ahead chickie~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-07-05 01:42:48

N/A Happy 4rth. of July to you. I'm sure baby will be fine, it probably just scared him. I hope your sister and her family are doing well. That must be very hard to deal with, thank God baby is ok. [VR] 2004-07-04 20:55:00

N/A Over tired babies!! scary stuff..*laugh* I love the way you describe your new hairdo..You're so danged cute...lolol Hope the bambino feels better quickly.Happy July 1st Girl~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-07-01 11:46:23

N/A HOpe baby is a-o.k. They definitely can get grouchy when they are tired :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-06-27 18:30:14

N/A I have the one that you hang from the door knob too. She's ignoring it. Does your kitty have claws? Does she scratch anything? [VR] 2004-06-26 23:16:00

N/A Hi :) Been a while. I guess everyone is jumping this ship and heading over to Xanga! What is your name there? I started one as pink cashmere, but haven't written in it yet- I'm just saving it for if/when this site goes down. I think that's really sad about your sister's baby, but I'm glad to hear there's no permanant damage. Do you use Biz bleach on your laundry? I soak bad stains in biz- it really is useful once you have babies! [Glitterby] 2004-06-21 11:13:32

N/A Yeah, the stupidvisor hates confrontation too. She lets people work for months on end who just..well, suck. It kills me. [Nightscape211] 2004-06-14 17:19:47

N/A I NEVER want another boss...Maybe I'll just rob a bank??? want to help???LOLOL Hugs to you kiddo~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-06-13 01:21:14

N/A A couple more things. When Sarah was first born Vick took her to Red Lobster, it was all you can eat crab legs. Sarah demanded to be held and coddled the whole time. We just took turns holding her. My friend was told by her Dr. that pear juice is the best for constipated babies. [VR] 2004-06-12 20:33:52

N/A This one woman used to work at our office that sounds like that. She was the receptionist and couldn't understand why they wouldn't promote her...nobody wanted to work with her and she bitched about every extra thing you asked her to do. I tried helping her once and telling her how to get promoted but she wouldn't listen. After that, she got even worse. She even called one girl "you ugly thing". That girl is super nice too. She is the one that gave me all of the beanie babies to donate. Back to the receptionist, she finally quit. Got a new job doing payroll. I would love to know how she finagled that one! I can actually hear her telling someone in an interview that she did all of the payroll where I work, when in actuality all she did was add up hours and some data entry. Oh well, I'm glad she is gone! [VR] 2004-06-12 20:28:55

N/A Glad to hear the baby will be o.k. Scary stuff!!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-06-12 08:37:07

N/A Thank you.. am definitely feeling a bit better today. Caught up on your journal. I don't know how a doc could determine there wouldn't be permanent damage, but as my own doc said yesterday, "You're the patient. I'm the doctor." Even though I was right...Grr... Glad things are going well. I'm at xanga...same name, nightscape211. If you ever need help, drop me a line :-) I need to do some laundry myself... [Nightscape211] 2004-06-10 18:20:20

N/A Just threw in a load myself. Yipppee [VR] 2004-06-08 19:48:31

N/A I am happy to hear the lil one is going home..now..is there any permanent damage?? how sad. I pray your b.i.l learned his lesson. I think its great that he isn't allowed to be alone with the baby.. Other than that..I let a long ramble in your xanga diary trying to help you figure it out..hope it helps..I swear the only reason I check in here is to say hi to you *grin* Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-06-08 01:09:00

N/A I was wondering about you... Glad to see you back! [Missin Mississippi] 2004-06-07 22:21:36

N/A Didn't mean to shake the baby give me a fucking break your bil should go to jail and then bend over when he drops his soap in the shower ...he needs to be reared ended to feel the pain just as his child did. you dont fucking shake a baby no matter what..... that doctor is a idiot! [Anonymous] 2004-06-07 21:30:16

N/A I'm glad your sister's baby is doing better. I hope she really keeps an eye on her husband. Alot of men are really clueless when it comes to babies. They really should have some kind of training for all parents. It should be mandatory. What's you favorite soap? I am hooked on the stuff! [VR] 2004-06-07 20:48:58

N/A That is such scary news about your brother-in-law. I hope he fully recovers and that he becomes the father he should be!!! Your poor sister! And the baby... wow! What is his prognosis??? I'll keep them in my prayers! [ColoradoJen] 2004-06-06 08:31:13

N/A Hey kiddo....I'm at Xanga as cheekie_faeirie. Looks like numerous mdders have done a mass exit to there...lolol Anyways..Hope all is well with you and the little guy of your sisters is getting better~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-06-04 10:06:09

N/A That is so awful...He should be charged and put in jail. What a fucking sicko. WHo could possibly hurt a baby? [Sassybliss] 2004-06-02 07:47:06

N/A Hey chickie..good to see you again though your news is so very sad..I hope your nephew will be fine..I don't think I'd be able to cope with a fellow who would do such a thing..OMG.Hugs to you and yours~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-06-02 02:15:13

N/A that is so horrible. i hope that the baby is okay. enjoy your visit with your niece. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-06-01 23:00:05

N/A Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I hope everything works out for your sister. That is so sad. [VR] 2004-06-01 22:11:23

N/A OMG. That's all I can think to say. Oh.... [Nightscape211] 2004-06-01 22:00:01

N/A :( that poor woman:( I liked letting my babies wiggle too:) they love to do that:) [Paige_99] 2004-05-21 10:58:35

N/A I'd like to shoot who ever invented the snooze button. I wish my boss would leave me alone... grr... [Nightscape211] 2004-05-18 19:33:35

N/A did you know that some medicines can constipate? hope he's doing better soon :) [Paige_99] 2004-05-18 13:09:37

N/A I'm caught up on your entries! I have to admit, I'm really starting to worry about terrorists invading our country, too... but I seem to think if they do, we will all be killed instantly and not tortured. Hopefully it wont happen in our lifetime! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-18 11:22:49

N/A When Christian was colicky and not pooping much, I brought him to the chiropractor, she would adjust him and he would poop within two hours. She also taught me this technique to massage his lower spine which would stimulate the bowels..It also worked everytime...Now that he is 14 months old, whenever he is backed up I give him a little massage and it helps! [Sassybliss] 2004-05-18 07:37:17

N/A I have 3 alarms and still can't get up!!! [Missin Mississippi] 2004-05-18 05:53:03

N/A 2 snooze hits? that would be great for me. i hit it about 5 times before i drag myself out of bed. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-05-17 21:45:15

N/A I used to purposely set mine early so I could hit the snooze a couple times. Hope baby poops for you tonight! [VR] 2004-05-17 20:38:39

N/A I hate car problems, although I have been dealing with them better than I used to. I used to get very upset. It's not worth it. [VR] 2004-05-16 15:40:57

N/A trapped in a car with screaming children...And you're still sane?? good for you! *wink* Hope today is a blessedly quiet and enjoyable day for you!~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-16 10:39:02

N/A I was just thinking how you're really not an adult until you experience the mind altering state of a child screaming until you think you can't handle it anymore, but then they keep on screaming and you realize that you can. hugs- some auto knowledge is helpful. [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-15 23:00:58

N/A One of the hardest things in the world it to listen to a child scream...especially your own. [Kanawiosta] 2004-05-15 22:51:45

N/A When people start talking about the "end of the world" I just tune them out. I refuse to worry about something that I have no control over. Hope the baby listened when you gave him that long talk... lolol [Missin Mississippi] 2004-05-15 07:49:16

N/A i totally agree with ya on the la toya thing! [nyyankeegirl46] 2004-05-13 15:59:57

N/A If you are interested in Revelations start reading The Left Behind series. It is based on revelations as the authors see as true, but it is put into modern times with characters. It starts off right before the rapture and continues on. You would not see your baby tortured so get that out of your head! If you believe that Jesus Christ is your savior you will be taken up in the rapture too and will not see anything else. I am on book number9 (I think) in the series. I have recommended it before and sometimes the comment I get is "I don't want to know about that stuff", to me, that's all the more reason that it should be read! I do believe that something is going on now, not sure how far, could be another 300 yrs for all we know. Have you heard the audio of those terrorists when they were beheading Nick Berg? They kept saying "Allah Akbar" (God is great) while they were doing it. That right there, I think is pure evil. I actually got sick to my stomach listening to it (it was on the radio), I will not watch the video. I hope baby minded you and slept through the night! [VR] 2004-05-13 05:55:51

N/A My philosophy??? Live life to the fullest and worry about the end of the world *IF* it comes, when it comes! Big hugs to you Sweetums~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-13 00:23:47

N/A Naw that's what these diaries are for :) [Paige_99] 2004-05-12 21:21:47

N/A You're entitled to be bitchy every now and again! Here's to a better day today!! : ) [Missin Mississippi] 2004-05-12 03:39:57

N/A Here I am at 3 in the morning and I can't sleep! Even my cat is sleeping and she usually gets up with me! So thanks for the good laugh with the story about your niece. Some kids can be sooo funny! [VR] 2004-05-12 02:13:34

N/A I DESPISE days like that!! Humungous hugs to y ou~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-12 00:31:01

N/A hope the baby feels better. have a great day at work. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-05-12 00:18:02

N/A RYN: He drinks formula, and eats everything we eat, sometimes baby food..Depending on his mood... [Sassybliss] 2004-05-10 07:37:10

N/A Happy mother's day!! [haolcatx] 2004-05-09 20:22:12

N/A Happy First Mothers Day to you! I'm glad you had a nice one. [VR] 2004-05-09 20:14:21

N/A I feel so bad for Americans...I can't believe you only get 6 weeks of maternity leave. In Canada, we get a year, and the Federal Gov't is in the process of making it two years. I figure if they won't put money into childcare they should put it in to mat leave.....It is so awesome to be with your child for a year. You have my understanding for being sad! BIG HUGS! [Sassybliss] 2004-05-09 07:07:16

N/A I know what you mean about missing the firsts....Yes, they will do those things again..But NOT for the first time...Having to work Bites..doesn't it? Hugs to you, Hope you're having a great weekend~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-09 00:50:34

N/A bomber man is a game on N64 and Game cub. it where u battle eachother and take their coins. it fun to play when u have 4 people. [xoshortnsexyxo] 2004-05-08 14:10:53

N/A I'm so glad your baby's ear infection turned out not to be. Those can be miserable... especially for a little one! Have a great weekend! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-08 09:18:08

N/A That's pretty strange not to bring a diaper bag. Did you watch Friends? I cried and cried. [VR] 2004-05-06 21:45:33

N/A Poor baby! Better to have it checked out. Epecially if it's bothering him. Cody had ear infections every time he was teething... but he never once fussed. Sheez... [Nightscape211] 2004-05-05 20:51:29

N/A I wonder who will be kicked off tonight. I know they all love Fantasia, but she just rubs me the wrong way! George hasn't been doing so hot lately, but he's still my fav out of who's left. Who's your fav? [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-05 18:36:43

N/A Hi. Sorry about baby's ear's. My daughter had ear infections allll the time. I always said that I should just buy Amoxicillin by the 50 gallon drum! She grew out of it at about 2. It's funny though, the doctor never suggested putting tubes in her ears. I know so many people who have had to do that for their kids. Isn't motherhood fun?? You wanted to know what a Blog is? It's this - what we do here at MDD. But I found this definition for you... A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly. Have a good day!! Hope baby is feeling better. : ) [Missin Mississippi] 2004-05-05 07:53:06

N/A Heya :) Thanks for leaving a message ! Hope your baby's ear will be fine :) And hope you enjoy your bath ^_^ Yea, I might be pretty hard on myself eh? -- I don't know, I might look back one day and see it as 'silly'. But, ahh - just trying to do what I'm supposed to do for the Lord. Take care~! [Chagale] 2004-05-05 02:48:40

N/A Ouch..I hope his ears clear up pronto! Oh..and btw? I DID stay in my bed..*grin* After a complete check! No dratted bug is chasing me form my bed.....lol Hope you sleep well tonight with lil guy~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-05 01:13:02

N/A I hope baby is feeling better soon. This is rare, but happened to Tristan so I just thought I would tell you about it so you can keep your eye out for it. If he is ever sick with a high fever and they give him antibiotics with aspirin and tylenol and the fever doesn't go away or it goes away and comes right back, have him checked immediately for Kawasaki Disease. Other symptoms are strawberry tongue, conjunctivitice, dry chapped lips, rash on torso arms and legs, extremely tired. This has to be caught right away. Believe me, you will know that something is seriously wrong. It was very hard to go through but if caught on time can be corrected within a couple of days with a major improvement in the first day from a immunoglobulin iv. Just wanted to fill you in on that because alot of Drs. just aren't aware of it because it is so rare. [VR] 2004-05-04 05:52:54

N/A Poor little gaffer...Hope he feels better tomorrow! Have a super tomorrow~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-04 00:06:47

N/A Sometimes kids get colds and they settle in their eyes. If it turns green, then you have to worry. Isn't it fun to look at pictures and see how much they grow? I think newborns sometimes look like fish when they are born. [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-03 23:33:15

N/A happy b-day to ur niece! i hope ur son is feeling better tommorow...ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-05-03 23:22:40

N/A hey, congrats for being baptized! aww i hope ur mum's health improves...have a great week toodles [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-05-03 17:41:00

N/A That's great you got baptised. Now the fun begins! [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-03 14:12:30

N/A congradulations on your baptism - what church do you attend? ryn: I do ride by myself, but my horse has been skiddish lately so I'm only riding with someone these days :) safety precaution [Paige_99] 2004-05-03 09:13:31

N/A I've learned to type my entry as an email first and then copy it to the entry page. When it's posted on MDD I delete the email. Less chance of losing it that way. lol In answer to your question, Doug is a Union Electrician. He could be making good money, but he hasn't worked for most of the time that I've known him. He's like number 300 on the union books for work. When he's had a job he ends up sick or someone pisses him off and he walks off the job. Personally, I think the union stopped sending him out on jobs because of the way he acts. It's kinda sad cause he's been doing it for almost 30 years. So... guess who buys him cigarettes and beer and feeds him most days?? You got it.. me. [Missin Mississippi] 2004-05-03 09:09:21

N/A How cool..baptised..that is great! what religion Cgdp? Hope you have an awesome week~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-05-03 00:01:42

N/A Congrats on your Baptism! The next time you type an entry and get an error, hit the back screen key, copy and paste to word and then copy and paste it back to MDD later. It usually works for me! Good luck [VR] 2004-05-02 23:40:11

N/A ugh, bugs are gross...i hope the cleaning place gets rid of them all for ya =) have a great week [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-05-02 22:52:21

N/A thanks for the note. it just pisses me off though, because i am so not like that. anyway, have a great sunday. [wannabewanted] 2004-05-02 00:05:21

N/A RYN: Lol, that's funny! If I had a camera for my computer you would be able to see her, because she is usually sitting up here by me. I have the top desk drawer to the side filled and I have a file on top of all the junk in it, Lily lays down there when I am on the computer. She is black, with grey, brown and cream colors in her fur. She is not calico though. The colors are blended in with the black, like she got a highlight! She looks like she has milk on her chin and on one paw. Someday I will have to scan and upload a bunch of pictures, I would love to do some show and tell! Hope your weekend is going well for you, hope baby is pooping good! lol [VR] 2004-05-01 22:50:05

N/A don't you just love leaving the store with a whole bunch of stuff and spending less then you planned. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-05-01 18:26:27

N/A i had that problem on my face... but i started putting on face mask before i put on my regular face wash. then in the morning i mix honey and milk together and it makes my skin soft and glow. [Survey_Babe] 2004-05-01 14:14:05

N/A There are face lotions you can buy... follow up on the dry skin thing. Not to scare you (and I'm sure this is NOT it for you), but one of my old roommates had a patch of dry skin on her face that wouldn't go away... and she found out it was skin cancer! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-01 08:36:55

N/A You need to exfoliate and moisturize your face constantly. Dry skin is what leads to wrinkles! I've been using Mary Kay of course, but make sure you find something you like. Maybe test a little patch of skin to make sure you are not allergic if you have sensitive skin. The Time Wise line for MK is pretty mild though. I like it. Good luck whatever your choice! [VR] 2004-05-01 06:10:33

N/A i myself have extremely dry skin and it doesn't help that i live in the desert. but i use aveeno lotion for my body and ponds for extra dry skin for my face. the aveeno lasts for 24 hours. have a nice relaxing weekend. [wannabewanted] 2004-04-30 22:49:47

N/A a friend of mine recommended Omega 3-6-9 for dry skin. We live in a high dry climate and it's a constant struggle for people around here. I'd talk to a pharmacist about it -they're more available than dr's and they often know more about these things. Explosive poops...projectile vomiting... :) memories :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-30 20:35:28

N/A Lol! Really, reading stuff like this just scares me about parenthood! [PrometheusX] 2004-04-30 20:33:27

N/A At three weeks old, my nephew is already hating his car seat! He just wants to be held all the time. He's too cute not to give in :o) Have a great weekend!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-30 08:23:28

N/A Could I come work for you? I'm VERY self motivated.. I even find work DOING my work! you wouldn't even have to breathe down my neck! Lol. My mother spent $600 on a top o' the line digi for my sister two christmases ago. She's used it twice and doesn't remember where the charger is. *Sigh* What a waste. [Nightscape211] 2004-04-29 20:58:45

N/A I am so sorry to hear about your cousin kiddo..How tragic!!!! Hope all is well with you and yours during this time! Thinking of you and sending hugs your way~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-29 17:03:58

N/A That was really nice of them to do that! I work for the government and we NEVER get any Thank You's like that! I'm glad you were able to get some clothes. I never buy anything for myself either, so I'd probably walk around for my hour and not buy anything cause it would be too hard to decide! [Missin Mississippi] 2004-04-28 08:19:07

N/A Shopping Spree - what an awesome idea! [VR] 2004-04-28 05:28:39

N/A That is so awful. Really puts life in perspective. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-27 00:04:05

N/A i am very sorry to hear about your cousin. that is horrible. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-04-26 21:07:47

N/A RYN: My son is thirteen months old! [Sassybliss] 2004-04-26 09:49:29

N/A I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. About a year ago, my second cousin committed suicide. Left 3 children behind. Like you, it's so sad to me that someone could be so desperate and see no other way out. Anyway, my prayers are with you and your family! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-26 09:08:48

N/A My friend J's older brother shot himself as part of a sucide pact with some friends after Kurt Cobain killed himself. J's parents marriage fell apart after that and they just kept blaming each other for their oldest son's death. They divorced, but kept trying to push J & his younger siblings on each other.. neither wanted the responsibility. When I was 15, I walked into J's room to find himself in the middle of slitting his wrists. The EMT's got him to the hospital in time. I wasn't quick enough the second time around. He was 17 when he died. He would've been 23 this year. I still miss him. [Nightscape211] 2004-04-25 21:11:42

N/A Sorry about your cousin. [VR] 2004-04-25 17:39:08

N/A I with Jen, donoughts for breakfast sounds icky - gives me a tummy ache just thinking about it. 5 more lbs to go is great :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-24 11:38:08

N/A We always get that spring snow here in colorado. Where Patrick and I live, though, it only rained. We'll take all the moisture we can get! Congrats on the weight loss! That was quick! Cheese is actually a very healthy snack --- as long as you don't eat a ton of it. [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-24 08:13:50

N/A I don't know how people can eat doughnuts for breakfast. They make me feel all whacked out. You only have 5 more pounds to lose- that is awesome for your son being born 3 months ago. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-23 23:13:25

N/A Ooooh, that is freaky. Buy some beer and put some major laxatives in it, and leave it by the back door. That would be the vengeful thing to do. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-23 19:48:25

N/A That is scary! I'm glad they weren't able to break into your house and that you got an alarm system!!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-23 09:31:54

N/A When I lived in Elizabeth, I was petrified of being alone at night. I had three locks on my door, and I lived on the fifth floor, but it didn't stop my teeth from chattering. There were a couple rapes in the alley under my window, people were robbed on every floor because they'd left the windows by the fire escapes opened and my neighbor had her door beat in one night by and exboyfriend... [Nightscape211] 2004-04-22 22:09:16

N/A Egad!!!! And here I sleep with my door open if its a hot night...lol Something to be said about living in booneyville*wink* Hugs to you kiddo~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-22 21:27:52

N/A RYN: Husbands are retarded...They always do the opposite of what you want...You have to continually nag whether it is sex or housework! I totally relate to the husband being a dick around the house...I make lists for mine so he carries his weight..You can't be expected to run the house, work full time and raise your children...And housework is the only thing HE can DO INSTEAD OF YOU!!! [Sassybliss] 2004-04-22 14:23:53

N/A I know a lot of people would say not to get other family members at all, but have you told any of this to your in-laws? Speaking to him yourself hasn't helped, so maybe he needs a good kick in the pants from his mom and dad? [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-22 09:18:48

N/A That screen sounds strange. I don't want to worry you but you should make sure that nobody was trying to get in. Was it is the front/back? Are there any big bushes by that window? They say that you shouldn't have big bushes because it gives burglars a place to hide. Just check it out. Better to be safe than sorry. [VR] 2004-04-22 05:39:09

N/A I have an offer..I have seven acres and a back hoe..we could have a hole dug that would fit him, in NO time *evil grin* Big hugs to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-22 01:33:17

N/A I hate that housework/ baby time decision. I'm with on leaving them alone until they cry. I think the reason why you feel so frustrated is that all of your time is accounted for, you don't have much to sit and dilly dally around, when that's all you see your husband do. Hugs- [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-21 23:41:44

N/A RJ and I play the same game.. we fight, things are okay for awhile, then we go back into the old routine. It never seems to end!! I always had Cody in a sling when I was home. But I was breast feeding, so it was just easier. Even now, I'm amazed at the things I learned to do with one hand! :-) At work, some of the gals pass around books they're reading. The Smoke Jumper landed on my desk, so now I'm reading it. I've only read the first page, but it seems all right so far... [Nightscape211] 2004-04-21 21:26:26

N/A My cat (Brat) used to drool all over me. I thought he was the only cat who did that. Does your cat play fetch too? :-) I had Cody's 0-3 mo clothes in his top drawer, 3-6 in the next...ect. Anything I couldn't fit in the drawer was put in the closet in smallest to largest. Now I'm lucky if I can remember to grab anything clean from his closet... lol. [Nightscape211] 2004-04-21 20:19:39

N/A cat drool, baby drool, mommy deep sleep drool...lol...it's a glamorous life isn't it :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-21 15:35:37

N/A Cat drool? I didn't know they did that, I thought cats were too dignified. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-21 15:32:54

N/A i wash my shoes with 409 and a rag. cause i hate it when my white shoes looky old and nappy. it has become part of my weekend cleaning routine. have a great week. [wannabewanted] 2004-04-20 21:35:47

N/A Hey honey- it's been a while! I have lots of catching up to do, but I have begun at least! I think you should read all of the harry potter books since you love to read. The books are 1000x better than the movies, although I love the movies too. Sounds like you're adjusting very well to motherhood :) You talked about how you can't get furious except for at your husband. It's weird how much motherhood changes you- anyone who doesn't do the best for your child or you think could hurt him- you can easily freak out on people like that. I know I can anyway, and I'm pretty even tempered! Take care :) [Glitterby] 2004-04-20 18:28:03

N/A Wow! Hard to believe he's 3 months old already! (But then I can't believe that my kids are 19 and 16...) It sure goes by fast. [Missin Mississippi] 2004-04-20 07:47:20

N/A My how the time flies!!!!! Hope you feel better soon kiddo..Aches and pains are just no fun..less you're a masochist of course *wink* Have a super tomorrow~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-20 01:09:54

N/A hope ur aches go away soon so ur feeling betta tomorrow [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-04-19 22:19:23

N/A Lol. Ah, there are PLENTY of ways to cheat the system. I could write a book! Hehe. Three months already? Wow, the time goes. It goes way too fast... [Nightscape211] 2004-04-19 21:27:19

N/A I drool when I sleep, all over the pillow. Never contributed it to allergies though. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-19 15:06:42

N/A I too..love the Harry Potter movies..though my favorite character is Ron WEasley..the little red headed kid..so cute! Your bambino must be getting up there now huh? How old is he now??? two months?? Wow..how the time flies..Bet you can't imagine life without him now huh?? *grin* I remember WAY back when saying how I thought you'd be an awesome mom, before you were EVEN pregnant..looks like I was right!! Hugs and a great week ahead to you!~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-19 00:28:58

N/A I felt the same way {about HP} But I broke down and read the books... yep, I'm a fan. Cody hated the heat!! (He was born in the summer) FRom the time I brought him hmoe, he would wriggle around like a little worm until he was comfy. He's liek a little furnace...just like his mom. :-P [Nightscape211] 2004-04-18 20:15:59

N/A Hmm. I've been wearing the same clothes for around 8 years. Probably my inability to cope with getting rid of comfy stuff. If RJ ever had a hemmorrhoid, he'd probably never let me look at it either. He's very.. well, anal... when it comes to his rear end. Probably why he won't go to a urologist for a yearly exam. Heh. Does your husband equate buying hemmorhoid cream with buying pads/tampons? Lol. [Nightscape211] 2004-04-18 08:55:40

N/A RYN: I guess you're right about the kitty/telephone thing. I never thought about it, I will have to check it out next time I'm on the phone! Hope hubby and baby are feeling better today. You seem like you are a really mellow person. That's good! [VR] 2004-04-18 05:52:54

N/A Nothing like losing a favorite pair of jeans..I always find it takes about a year till the new ones feel as comfy. Sounds like you had a good time at the shower..Hope the rest of the weekend is as good!~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-18 01:48:42

N/A hope you had a nice lunch. i hate it when a favorite pair of jeans bites the dust. take care. [wannabewanted] 2004-04-17 22:00:20

N/A The funniest butt ripping story I ever was a witness to was my husband ripping the butt out of his pants just as his was walking into the county courthouse. He was too far away to hear me, so I just had to watch and giggle as he walked in, his white undies poking out. Hee hee. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-17 15:41:32

N/A it's surprisingly nostalgic retiring a fav pair of jeans isn't it? strange... :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-17 13:25:35

N/A Lol...y'know, I've never seen anyone's butt rip through their pants. [PrometheusX] 2004-04-17 12:24:00

N/A I missed most of American Idol on Wednesday... but I agree... Diana does nothing for me either... but John -- I really hope he wins! Have a great weekend!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-16 17:51:09

N/A I don't like to fix computers either. I think they pay people to do that, don't they? [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-16 09:34:26

N/A I'm starting to feel like ole mother hubbard, with her bare cupboards...lolol Have a super weekend kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-16 00:48:16

N/A Have an awesome tomorrow kiddo..and when you're done your house..you can do mine:D:D~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-14 01:12:24

N/A I love it when they start sleeping through the night too! Mine do it pretty consistently from about four months on. My cats usually stay away from the keyboard. But they are always trying to climb in my lap when I'm using the toilet. Come to think of it the kids do that too. Oh well, mothers get no privacy and no respect! [Kanawiosta] 2004-04-14 00:05:58

N/A Haha. I love when you have entries like that. "My cat just drooled on my keyboard". Isn't it fun trying to type with your hands under the belly of a cat? [VR] 2004-04-13 20:58:45

N/A Hey Kiddo!!! At 35..I'm still wondering what I'm supposed to be doing *wink* Hope you had a marvelous day~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-13 00:23:46

N/A it sounds like you have your hands full with work, baby and managing a home etc :) sorry to hear about your sister :( we have close friends who are like that too...they don't pay bills but they spend their money on dumb things - they're in Mexico right now!! it's hard to watch [Paige_99] 2004-04-12 23:31:43

N/A I have a close friend that filed for bankruptcy recently. She is the same way, spends money on just crap, and has nothing to show for it. The thing that gets me is that she doesn't spend it on clothes, she spends it on DVD's, books, going out to eat, weird stuff. If I was going to be irresponsible, it would be all about looking good. Have you read The Purpose Driven Life? It's a daily devotional book (40 days long) that addresses that whole what is your life's purpose issue? It would be manageable enough for you to read to. I think you are probably a great boss too- [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-12 23:22:16

N/A Hope you have an awesome day Kiddo!!! HAPPY Easter~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-11 12:02:39

N/A I can't stand meetings. They always have them at 10:00 AM and that is when Glenn Beck is on! Drives me nuts! We went shopping today too. Applebees for lunch, we split the appetizer platter and a oriental chicken salad. Also had Starbucks, Mocha Coconut Frappicino. MMmmmmm. Happy Easter! [VR] 2004-04-10 22:16:31

N/A can you speak whale yet? it is a very cute movie. your brownies sound cute, have a happy easter. [wannabewanted] 2004-04-10 22:02:11

N/A :) good news about the baby sleeping for longer periods :) It's kind of amazing how LITTLE sleep we parents can survive on isn't it? :) ryn: no, my husband doesn't know on a conscious level about Bond. [Paige_99] 2004-04-10 10:49:27

N/A Congrats on the promotion! You deserve every bit! I missed American Idol on Tuesday, but I thought Camille should have been kicked off a long time ago, so I was happy with the decision! George is my favorite too... his personality just glows when he sings, and I love that! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-09 09:57:12

N/A getting up in the middle of the night is hard - some nights it's just brutal...have a great Easter [Paige_99] 2004-04-09 09:41:22

N/A Congrats on the promo- and to think that after the issue with your son, you didn't know how the job would go. I don't know how old your son is now, but babies can sleep through the night just fine at about 6 months. Make sure that you let him fuss, most of the time he will go back to sleep on his own. If you start getting up at every noise, you will train him to cry until he gets up. Of course, you probably already know that! [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-08 23:40:47

N/A Have a very happy Easter kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-08 22:09:12

N/A Congrats on your promotion and raise, that's great! [VR] 2004-04-08 20:48:38

N/A ~*I agreee with you on kicking Camille off. I kinda want that one girl 16 year old girl to win though...oh whats her name, crap I can't remember right now. Yeah well, I liked your entry*~ coolgurl42 [coolgurl42] 2004-04-08 20:44:39

N/A HOpe baby did well in his crib last night! Have fun on with the scavenger hunt today! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-08 09:07:06

N/A The birds go NUTS this time of year in our neck of the world...flying into vehicles..showing no fear whatsoever of cats, humans etc....A bit of Spring fever I think...lol Good luck with the bambino in his crib!~Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-04-08 00:57:46

N/A Scavenger hunt sounds like fun. I just found a bird's nest in the crook of my downspout. I'm going to leave it there, it doesn't look like it's causing any harm. They were building nests in my roof vents, then eventually they crashed through the screening into my attic! That's fixed now, they can't build nests up there anymore, I think that's where the downspout came in. [VR] 2004-04-07 21:50:00

N/A Sounds like a modern Disney movie, with all the birds gathered around. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-07 19:45:35

N/A Toenails...ew! Lol. [PrometheusX] 2004-04-06 23:38:06

N/A My mom has had that same problem the check engine light came on and she took it into the shop where they said it was the gas cap... I was like c'mon mom, that can't be right - but she insisted that's what they told her. Then, when I got my new car last year, that was one of the things mentioned in the owner's manual... make sure ya put the gas cap on tight. Who woulda thunk it??? LOL Glad you had a nice weekend.. and real glad the baby's pooping! [Missin Mississippi] 2004-04-05 08:36:03

N/A See! Glad it wasn't anything serious! [Nightscape211] 2004-04-04 21:57:08

N/A Don't panic too much about the check engine light . Growing up, we called those "Dummy" lights in our home. All cars have computers... and sometimes a weird code gets thrown into the computer (if your gas cap isn't all the way on, you have a bad sensor or if your parking brake is sticking ect) It could just mean they need to clear a code.. which is 99% of CEL cases. They hook up a monitor, find the code and clear it. Of course, they may charge $75 to do that. (If they do, they are rip-offs...it's not worth that much) Depending on the car you have, you may be able to find the code yourself. I have a '94 Dodge Caravan. If you turn the key forward (without strating it) and backward three times in succession and leave it forward (without turning the car on) the CE light will blink. You count it and it will give you the code number. Then you can look it up in the owners manual. Ex: It'll blink 6 times, pause and blink 7 times. Look for code 67. (Though this trick doesn't work for all cars) Good luck! [Nightscape211] 2004-04-02 22:53:16

N/A I read smoke jumpers last year..It WAS a good book. Enjoy. Hope the car prob is nothing serious...damn those mechanics cost alot!!Sweet Dreams to you Kiddo~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-31 23:47:17

N/A I am so right there with you on American Idol. I can't believe John (the redhead) didn't get kicked off... and I thought for sure that Jennifer would go instead of Amy. Jennifer and Camille bugged me too. George is my favorite. Who is yours??? I hope you get some great sleep tonight! [ColoradoJen] 2004-03-31 22:24:07

N/A :) I'm like Puffy...can't be bothered to lock the door 90%of the time, but I have a killer dog roaming the yard...makes a difference :) I love the gurgling noises that babies make when they're happy :) I love those sparkling eyes too :) sighhh :) good thing I can't have any more or I WOULD!!! :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-31 09:47:18

N/A Ironic that I tell you to be careful and then there is me..who doesn't even lock her door when heading off to work *gasp* I bet little G is just simply adorable...Have an awesome tomorrow~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-31 00:39:20

N/A Never hurts to check up on these things! Ah, happiness! [Nightscape211] 2004-03-30 20:44:05

N/A Bet you feel better now! I know I felt much better just after getting glassblock in the basement. [VR] 2004-03-30 19:00:56

N/A Hey Kiddo! I am SO happy to hear babe is doing better...the smell of a stinky house is worth it..isn't it? *wink* Make sure you don't get ripped off...seems Ironic that the door to door saleman shows up RIGHT after the woman was murdered. *cynic me* Anyways..Have a GREAT day~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-30 10:36:23

N/A In your case, gotta love poopy diapers! Before you decide to pay a monthly fee for an alarm system check out Home Depot or Lowes. They also carry motion detectors and magnetic window alarms. I saw it on a home show. They look pretty easy to install, looked like I could even do it! Might saw you some money. I think the most expensive one that they talked about was only $300 [VR] 2004-03-30 02:33:16

N/A Don't forget the new couch at 4 also. I can't believe people actually buy movies. I can't understand why people buy movies other than kid movies. [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-29 23:04:32

N/A :) I know the smell well....that and spilled formula on the rug that I didn't get to in time. It's nice to move to a new place when your youngest is around 4 :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-29 21:51:31

N/A Amen! Thank God for ~*stinky*~ favors! :-) [Nightscape211] 2004-03-29 20:33:31

N/A I love the Rennaisance festival! Usually I hit the one in Tuxedo, NY. I always dress up for it. One year, I hit the one here in NJ... but it didn't compare to NY. I just reserved my tix for it... I'm dressing Cody as a court jester :-) Hopefully the one vendor who makes my ear cuffs will be there. I need a new catalog. I miss the Pickle guys though. They may've been crude, but they were hysterical! Ah well... [Nightscape211] 2004-03-29 19:21:38

N/A sounds like a fun day :) I liked Matchstick men too, and I agree that it was a good movie to rent but I'm not sure about buying. ryn: yeah, Bond is my uh...friend? :) your weekend sounds nice :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-29 14:08:49

N/A oooh. I'd be a little more than just "more diligent" about locking my doors. I'd lock them mugs every time they were unlocked! [pplrstrange] 2004-03-28 09:02:48

N/A Had to catch up- your husband had 6 sisters, holy cow. Not necessarily a great thing. Although I'm sure he would buy you tampons at the store. My husband has maybe a handful of times ever gotten up with our kids. Practically never happened. But you are totally right on to attack this problem right now. I don't really know what to tell you. You always come up with good stuff on your own. Hugs- [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-28 00:23:02

N/A The chances are that the woman was killed by a stranger are really really slim. Most likely he knew her and I say he cause most likely it was a male and there was an emotional conncetion between them....random violence is very very rare. Also, about your husband..if figured that either, (a) you decided to not talk about sex in your diary or (b) you were not having any and if that was the case that he would bring it up soon.....was thinking that as much as month ago while reading your entries.... [haolcatx] 2004-03-27 23:25:57

N/A Not talking, you and him? Sucky... [PrometheusX] 2004-03-27 20:53:42

N/A We have a 10 second rule at our house...if it's been on the floor less than 10 seconds it's edible as is :) longer than that it might need a rinse :) you know what? dog germs are gross, but it's not the bottom of the bucket yet. I can remember being so tired that I'd eat baby food out of the jar with my baby.....we all survive :) the horses sound like a great deal!!! A cheap horse around here goes for about 1500, saddles around $300- 400 and the rest of the gear adds up to another $300 or so...that's they cheap route!!! Riding is so relaxing :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-27 14:33:17

N/A Men...sometimes I think us women should stay single ALWAYS..life would be MUCH simpler! Have a good weekend you cheese head *wink* Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-26 21:48:55

N/A LOL I like your dirty food entry! That is too funny! Have a nice weekend! [VR] 2004-03-26 20:35:01

N/A It's true, this IS motherhood - that doesn't make your husband's behavior right, but a lot of men behave this way. My husband still to this day gets upset when he feels that I'm not showing him enough attention. It's pathetic!!! I don't think that your husband's behavior was right though - taking off with and ex gfriend when you're exhausted isn't right on his part. I would let things settle down and then when the timing is better and your not quite so angry, let him know that hurt you. I'm glad the sitter thing is getting easier :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-26 13:46:54

N/A welcome to the resentments of motherhood...You will survive...Give it a year, you might actually like him again! ha ha [Sassybliss] 2004-03-26 08:19:55

N/A Isn't it amzing that no matter how long you've been married, a baby always changes everything? Sounds like he still hasn't grasped the concept that there is no room for selfishness in his life anymore. Time to grow up a little! Take responsiblity, darn it! And definitely there is a root of jealousy... and if he's really upset about not having sex... ask him what he would think of MAYBE getting laid twice a year.. heh. MEN. [Nightscape211] 2004-03-25 19:37:02

N/A Wow, that was a doozy. I don't know if I can help or not but here are my thoughts. Maybe hubby doesn't feel comfortable with baby because he doesn't know what to do to entertain him or comfort him. Maybe if you showed him how baby likes to be held close and rocked. How he likes to be cooed to, ya know, teach him how to deal with babies. Another thought, maybe you guys could lay down some ground rules on what is expected of each other. Have you been to the Dr. for a check up? Is there anyone you can get to babysit for you once a week or every two weeks so that you can both get out on a "date" to talk and just be with each other? Good Luck, hope it gets better soon. [VR] 2004-03-25 18:46:55

N/A OMG..I think ALL us women are having men problems!!!!!! Can't live with em..Can't shoot em (unless you have a hefty insurance policy *wink*) Hope it all works out for you kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-25 18:41:57

N/A At least you don't have to be at work for extremely long periods of time. I think you are doing pretty well if you only have 10 more pounds to lose. [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-24 13:24:12

N/A Ouch..I was lucky..I was able to stay home when mine were little..pinched pennies but made it....I think you'll find that going to work will make you appreciate even MORE ..the time you have with lil guy. I hope things settle for y ou kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-23 23:59:40

N/A :( you know what? it doesn't get easier for some people - maybe this isn't your 'season' to work....who knows? maybe it is...give it some time and if things don't get better - maybe it's time to downsize and figure out a way to 'make it' on hubby's income. We did that - it's tight at times, but I had to do it. I don't regret a second. And...I very much respect mom's who do work...it's a personal decision [Paige_99] 2004-03-23 20:32:40

N/A You will get used to being away from your son...Don't worry. In fact, you might even relish the time to be your own individual person! Don't let it get you down, you will survive! I promise... [Sassybliss] 2004-03-23 14:59:53

N/A It will get easier. Maybe you should start looking for a job, just in case? When something taints a job like that, it's hard for things to ever get back to normal. [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-23 14:14:07

N/A Those first days of taking the baby to the sitter are hard - I cried for days with each of my kids. But if you have a good sitter that you have confidence in, it will get easier to deal with... I promise : ) [Missin Mississippi] 2004-03-23 13:37:09

N/A I'm sad for you going back to work tomorrow. Hope the baby does well. Isn't it ironic when they fill their drawers in church? [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-22 22:39:22

N/A good luck on the first day...In Canada we get a year of maternity leave....It rocks...Americans get the raw deal..You should fight for longer mat leave.. [Sassybliss] 2004-03-22 08:26:07

N/A Wow!!!! $22 a can???? That's outrageous! I hope you can get some from the doctor you work for. But it sounds like it is working better for baby and that's all that matters. I just can't get over that... $22 A can???? [Missin Mississippi] 2004-03-21 07:55:48

N/A Aaawwwa, that's great about baby and hubby doing better! See, remember when you were questioning your mothering skills in the beginning? Well, you don't need to now! You were right about baby's tummy being upset and now it is taken care of. That must make you feel good that you took care of that for baby! I once found a fly in a hamburger. My friend's Mom was in the hospital and there was a fly in her soup! [VR] 2004-03-20 22:18:40

N/A happy to hear that ur baby is sleeping well and doing much better =) wow, i've never heard that many stories of ppl finding things in their food, i'd be completely grossed out if ever found bugs in my meal ewwwww enjoy the rest of ur weekend toodles [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-03-20 22:16:46

N/A I am glad that your baby is doing better & that is a lot of bugs/weird stuff in people's food. Pretty gross too, lol. *hugs* [ShimmerShadow] 2004-03-20 21:22:57

N/A We had to use Nutramigen for my son too - it was REALLY expensive and that was almost 17 years ago! It's "pre-digested" formula... whatever THAT means! I know we were paying over $3 a can and that hurt. His problem was that his esophogus was not working right and he was refluxing everything. He had heartburn so bad he didn't care if he ate or not. He also had projectile vomiting like you described. Fun, huh?? lol I don't think you are over reacting at all. and if that is the way your doctor treats you, it's time to find another pediatrician. N/A If the baby's formula has been switched, apparently you didn't overreact. I think Drs. SHOULD think of the worse case scenario and make sure that they are wrong. [VR] 2004-03-19 21:57:01

N/A At least he's starting to find some relief! poor little thing! I actually work for a non-profit union Fund... so we don't have the same kind of funding like BCBS, Aetna & UHC have. We also don't make our members jump through hoops to get healthcare. We don't care if it's in or out of network... we pay a portion of it. No referrals, no PCP necessary, no co-pays or deductible for in-netowrk docs. And our fee schedule is decent compared to the Big Boys. I mean, have you ever actually SEEN Medicare's fee schedule? What a joke! They expect doctors to LIVE off that?!? AS far as I know, BCBS pays about $35 (minus co-pay)for a Level 3 OV... the fund I work for pays $110. And we have less money to work with. We also have a harder time getting contracts because we only cover $16,000 people in NJ.. unlike the other companies which cover nationwide. :-P Makes life difficult. The hospitals are making me rip my hair out. We get pathetic 10% off charges for the ones that sign contracts. Then they bill $100,000 for an overnight non-emergent stay! It kills me. And our members are not the brightest.. they use the ER like a doctors office. >:- But hey... I know where you're coming from too. Let's face it, who the heck wants to wait 6 weeks to get paid? And then have to deal with whether the service is/isn't covered, if the doc is in/out of network, deductibles, collecting co-payments.... bah! A GIANT hassle! We tell all non-par docs calling for eligibility to have the member pay up front. (We'll pay what's due to the member, but they are ultimately responsible for the entire bill). And we got rid of the deductible & co-pay for our par docs. It wasn't fair to them. Now that I've just rambled... have a good night! [Nightscape211] 2004-03-19 18:17:04

N/A I remember how clean your house used to be- " Tonight I cleaned the bathroom, etc etc" You'll find that it bothers you as much as you let it. Ryn- the test runs $65 and you have to send it away. I don't think I could spend that much. I need to research it more. [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-15 22:44:25

N/A i would count them too. i don't know if this will help cause it really isn't related but i work with kids all day and we used to have a baby that spit up all the time. we eventually found that if we made the bottles in advance and allowed them to sit, they are less granual-ly and the spitting up stopped. so we make them in the morning and then heat them up thru out the day as needed. just a thought. good luck and i hope your baby feels better. [wannabewanted] 2004-03-15 21:51:49

N/A Hmm.....dang...its not going to come easy is it??? Do they think he could be colicky???? AND..have you tried gripe water or oval to see if it helps with his cramping in his tummy??? (can you tell I'm a mom???lol) Anyways...sweet dreams kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-15 21:11:30

N/A :( awww....I think that most men are like that. My husband usually acts like a terrific dad in front of other people too...he's always been like that. I hope the baby is okay :(...it's so tough when you have to watch your little ones struggle :(. I think that you're exhausted...I know that with all three of my girls I seemed crash and burn at around 6 weeks. 6 weeks seemed to be the time when my energy levels finally konked out on me....things will get better :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-15 16:18:34

N/A WoW, I can relate to the husband pissing you off thing.. First, you need to communicate that you are feeling stressed out and alone right now...How can he help, if he can't understand what is going on with you. I always make the mistake of thinking my husband can read my mind, and should know when I need him to be helpful..The thing I have discovered since becoming a parent is that my husband does not have the same consideration that I do..He needs everything to be spelled out in black and white..And will NEVER just do something unless I ask him to... Please be kind to yourself right now. You are under a lot of stress, and have a lot of fears surrounding your son...YOu need your husband to get through this. As hard as it is, you need to be on the same side... A. [Sassybliss] 2004-03-15 12:09:02

N/A Perhaps as your Dr if he could have an immature bowel....sometimes THAT makes it hard for them to have a bowel movement and makes them fussy (I know..my daughter was that way!!!) I wish you the best of luck sweetums~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-14 23:25:06

N/A I think your husband and my husband could form a club. Out in public, RJ acts as if I'm the worlds worst mother & he's the one who takes care of business. Behind closed doors, he shows no interest in Cody whatsoever. Most of the time, he just yells at Cody. It drives me up the wall. Couple of things: Are you a carrier of Downs? Is it in your family? Chances are if it's not something already in your family, then it probably won't be an issue. Many of the women in my family are carriers. I am. That's why I thank god every night that I have Cody. Didn't your husband listen to his vows when you were married? "For better or worse" ring any bells? I don't recall hearing, "until you can't stand how things are going" anywhere. If that were the case I would've been long gone. Yes, Downs children are not average children and take a bit more effort to handle, but it doesn't mean they're not special. Two of my cousins are Dowsn babies and no one loves them any less because of that fact. I'm praying this is not the case with your little one. I'm praying very hard over it. I think your husband needs to realize that no matter what happens, youre in it for the long haul. Your child is still a child, the fruit of your labor, the result of your union and is special for all those reasons. He is also a miracle, regardless of the situation. And the biggest thing he needs to remember: God never gives us more than we can handle. If I am out of line for anything I have said please disregard it. I just think you have enough on your mind without the man who is supposed to be your love and support adding to your troubles. :-P I pray that things will go well for you tomorrow. Hopefully, you will finally have an answer.. and maybe a solution. [Nightscape211] 2004-03-14 21:34:18

N/A I'm caught up on your entries. I'm sorry to read that your baby has been so sick! Hopefully tomorrow you will have some answers that you need so that baby can get better. I can't imagine what that must be like as a mother to watch your baby in pain. As for your husband... I agree with VR -- demand some "me time" so that you can get a break and that he shares a little bit of the responsibilities. I'll be praying for you and your little one tomorrow!!!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-03-14 14:29:31

N/A I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this. You sound like such a sweet person. I hope it gets better for you. I know this won't work but it crossed my mind. Why don't you invite his friends over every night, toss them some chips and pop, let him play superdad and you sit back and relax or go take a nap. Again, just some evil thoughts running through my head! OK, here's a better one, why don't you schedule some "Me" time for yourself. Take an hour or two every night and go for a walk, take a bubble bath, go workout somewhere? Anything to get you totally out of the picture for some sanity time and make him face up to his responsibilities. Maybe he will have more appreciation for what you do. I wish I could help more. Just remember "This too shall pass". Hope everything goes allright at the Dr. tomorrow. [VR] 2004-03-14 13:05:01

N/A I'm so sorry to hear all of this and i don't mean to put my nose in your business but if u don't mind my asking, how long have you guys been married? i just really hate to see people marry people who don't treat them right ya know? anyways i'm probly gonna read some of your past entries to get a better background on it, i'll keep reading! N/A Poor sweet thing! It's the worst thing in the world when you want to take away their pain NOW and there's not a thing you can do! And to be going back to work on top of it.. ouch! Give the little one a kiss for me! I'll keep you both in my prayers! [Nightscape211] 2004-03-13 21:03:26

N/A Hey kiddo..looking up a few things about constipation for you....one interesting this is massage..maybe ask your doctor?*excerpt...Babies vary greatly in their frequency of bowel action. Some have many bowel movements in a day while others have one every three days. This may cause anxiety if the mother expects one daily movement. As long as the stool is not hard and the infant has a balanced diet, there is little cause for concern. Constipation is defined as the difficult evacuation or retention of the feces. It is a problem that is corrected by increasing the fluid intake or giving sugar water to the infant. Breast-fed babies rarely suffer from constipation. Once formula has been introduced, the baby may experience some hardening of the stool with the dietary change. Hard stools may cause pain by scraping the skin of the rectum. This may cause the child to withhold stool. The feces may also be blood-stained. If these symptoms persist, consult your baby's physician." Things you probably are learning about huh??? I'll let you know if I find anything else out! Big hugs to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-12 16:29:27

N/A Haha. My problem is that my guests usually want to use my computer. The kids! Tristan mostly. Sometimes I get aggravated because I can be pretty computer selfish! But, I do share! Hope baby is better soon! [VR] 2004-03-12 02:00:23

N/A Welcome home!! I was starting to worry (worrywart) Poor lil guy.....Can't say as to what to do for constipation....Sounds like you're trying them all..Hope it starts helping soon.Hugs to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-12 00:56:40

N/A Hey hey Kiddo..March 10th and I'm starting to wonder if I have to send out a search party???? Hope all is well with you and yours~hugging ya and missing you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-11 01:01:33

N/A Sounds like you are getting a little more sleep these days. I hope that the new formula works with your baby, and that he will be feeling better soon! [ColoradoJen] 2004-03-07 12:48:16

N/A Try going to www.verybestbaby.com and signing up for their newsletters & stuff... I can't tell you how many times they sent me free formula/coupons for free formula! [Nightscape211] 2004-03-06 09:12:58

N/A Congrats- I figured you had to have him by now. Goodstart is the bomb man. Only thing my babies would take. [Jen B Goode] 2004-03-06 00:59:46

N/A Have an awesome weekend Kiddo! How old is lil one now?? how time flies~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-05 22:49:54

Nothing Much The look that your baby gives you, only gets better. Just wait. When he is old enough to skin his knee or be scared and you run to the rescue and he wraps his little arms around your neck and the tears slow down. It feels good to know that you have to capability to make someone feel so much better. When Tristan was in the hospital I spent the night there with him 1/2 of the time. His Mom would come and get me at 2:30 in the morning and tell me he was asking for me. I would go up and read a book to him or make up a story about the big purple fish with the red teeth in the fish tank downstairs. It is times like that that make you realize how important it is for you to be in a child's life. [VR] 2004-03-04 02:06:35

Nothing Much maternity clothes should also be called post partum clothes...I wore my overalls and leggings for months afterwards...:) don't stop eating out :)...ENJOY it :) soon enough it won't be an option ( 7 -9 yrs from now :)) so ENJOY it :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-03 22:38:23

N/A When my guy was constipated I always gave him water...It worked liked a charm...Often, when he was gassy I would give him a bottle of water (4 ounces) and it was heaven...And yes I did this from the time colick started (three weeks of age) I would go with your gut on this one! [Sassybliss] 2004-03-03 08:27:59

N/A YAY POOP! lol [VR] 2004-03-02 23:57:15

N/A Hey kiddo..good to hear lil guy is feeling better..Nothing worse than an upset babe! Hugs your way~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-03-02 23:55:27

N/A Ask your Dr. about Pear juice for baby, I have been told it is better than Prune. Good choice about the chicken strip! lol [VR] 2004-03-02 18:59:34

N/A Give him 2 ounces of water before his feedings. The formula sometimes puts bulk in his tummy. Prune juice is a no no until after the age of 6 months old. Prune juice is very harsh for their tiny tummies. [Anonymous] 2004-03-02 17:00:03

WE HAVE POOP!!!!! :) glad the syrup worked :) I know what you mean about trusting tested advice over the dr's at times :) ryn: this first dr wanted to up her pain medication control to codiene ( can't spell :)), but she was already constipated...and that would make things worse! :) she's better now :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-02 09:10:45

WE HAVE POOP!!!!! She picked the hot guy and the secret was so stupid! Her last boyfriend was Fabio and the hot guy flipped out. It was queer! I don't like Fabio anyways, yuck. He's too pretty. [VR] 2004-03-02 05:28:39

WE HAVE POOP!!!!! Lol! They sure do seem to suffer when they need to go. Hey, I can sympathize with the constipation issue too. [Kanawiosta] 2004-03-02 02:32:16

N/A You are using dark Karo syrup right? Plus water daily. [Anonymous] 2004-03-01 20:58:09

N/A :) I remember thinking that life revolved around poop at times when my girls were young :) lol...we had to give watered down prune juice to my one little girl fairly often just to keep her regular :) [Paige_99] 2004-03-01 10:09:19

N/A I swear I spent the first 6 months of my son's life obsessing over his bowel movements! My doctor finally said that some babies don't poop everyday....As he was breastfed, he didn't have a regular routine...Sometimes he would go up to 6 days with no poop!!! Suppositories were necessary after 6 days...Poor little guy..I hated it when C got constipated...It is such a relief when they finally poop eh?? ha ha [Sassybliss] 2004-03-01 08:05:55

N/A Glad you got some "peace and quiet". I'm sure that those times are few and far between!!!!! Glad to hear your little one is doing better, too! [ColoradoJen] 2004-02-29 23:27:14

N/A Have a nice visit! [VR] 2004-02-27 19:05:12

N/A Thank you very much for your comment. John is doing significantly better. He is walking with almost no sign that he could not use the leg a week ago, and his left arm is coming along. He can bend his fingers and lift things, just not like before. Thank you again. [Fictional Writer] 2004-02-27 18:33:48

N/A RYN: I had to present my proposals to 7 people... I live in Canada, a suburb of Toronto in Ontario [Sassybliss] 2004-02-27 11:43:49

N/A There have been studies that show babies who have been subjected to classical music seem to be more intelligent. I don't know how true it is but it would solve both of your sleeping problems! [VR] 2004-02-26 12:16:45

N/A I knew you were a smart cookie..just all us worry warts huh?? Hugs to you kiddo~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-26 01:41:54

N/A RYN: Okay, in the beginning you don't want to overwhelm the little tummy. So you start by adding what he is accustomed to or whatever has the least likelihodd of bothering him or causing an allergic reaction. I have started by adding breastmilk to his rice cereal. (Though while I was gone I suppose th big guy could make it up with formula...which the baby HATES!) You could start with either formula or water. Later on after they have tried a few more things without reaction you could make up your food with say...applejuice or any non citrus fruit juice. And you can even start mixing and making your own combo meals. Like my kids loved squash and corn together. And I always mixed some other fruit with prunes if I was making them up as they are so laxative. Does this make sense? I feel like I'm rambling! I never add salt, sugar or honey at this age. I do not use cows milk, but I do give them homemade yogurt made with cows milk. (Even most lactose intolerants can handle yogurt. My kids are usually lactose intolerant until they are about a year old.) Blah, blah, blah...I'll shut up now. LOL [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-25 16:12:11

N/A I complained and I wrote a letter to Delta. Nothing! [VR] 2004-02-25 15:31:09

N/A Whoa there! Hey, do whatever feels best for you. But anonymous is right...got condoms around the house? If not I wouldn't risk it. I'll do a whole entry on babyfood and breastfeeding as soon as I get a chance okay? But it IS really simple. You know exactly what goes into the food and control the texture and everything. [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-25 00:47:14

N/A 4 weeks only since the birth? Really not a good idea since you only started back on the pills. Just popping the pill doesn't make you protected. it takes about a month to have all the desired effects of the birth control pill. [Anonymous] 2004-02-24 23:23:19

N/A That's so funny! Cody hated to WEAR his clothes. Still does, actually. Everything has just been nuts.. and crazy things have been running through my head. I wouldn't just hand Cody off to anyone. It's not in me to do it. [Nightscape211] 2004-02-24 22:27:50

N/A You have a really nice boss!! LOL about Lizzie. I like that movie. Me & my freind mainly like to watch it to make fun of Paolo, coz he reminds her of her stupid ex. lol. glad u had a nice, healthy baby!! xoxox & its fine to sleep with him, as long as he is not inbetween u & your husband! :-P [ShimmerShadow] 2004-02-24 16:35:17

N/A It's pretty much indescribable. They use it in churches for different ceremonies, alot of times around Christmas. It is one of the gifts that the 3 wisemen brought to baby Jesus. The other two were Myrrh (also an incense) and I believe gold. [VR] 2004-02-24 02:18:23

N/A Owen Wilson...the blond guy..he's great! Chuckling over the Lizzie Mcguire movie...your poor fella..Personally..I do not like Hillary Duff and think she can't act worth beans but...*each to their own...lol Hope lil guy stays awake for you today~hugs and a marvelous day to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-23 11:45:00

N/A I know what you mean about the movie. I don't like dark movies either! That's one of the reasons why I didn't like the first Lord of the Rings movie. Thought it was just me, I'm glad there are other people out there that feel the same way. [VR] 2004-02-22 08:21:38

N/A Sex after the baby was very strange for me...Firstly, it hurts like hell the first time, not very enjoyable..Secondly, your vagina is never the same as before after having a baby... My little guy is 11 months old...12 months in 2 weeks... [Sassybliss] 2004-02-22 07:47:02

N/A It's good to let your body heal! Hopefully your husband is understanding about it all!!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-02-22 00:30:39

N/A Sex...not too much fun after baby is born..not for a while at least *grin* Happy Saturday kiddo~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-21 23:42:17

N/A Wow! Keep up the good work!! Glad to hear that you can get more rest!! :) [DerekJeterFan2NY] 2004-02-21 17:10:16

N/A Don't forget to take those pills! Yeehaw! Does this mean you ARE going to wash your face and brush your hair?! Does this mean you are going to have a sex life again anytime soon?! I'm just teasing...good luck though! [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-21 15:03:26

N/A Sounds lile lil man is getting on a schedule!! Way to go Kiddo!!! Have a marveous day~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-21 14:28:55

N/A The swings that don't stand too tall are the best ones. I don't know how to describe this....It is the kind of swing that does not have the connecting piece over the baby's head. Do you know what I mean? It makes it easier to get baby in and out of the swing. You just set him in, it doesn't require any maneuverability. Try to get one of those. They are great! [VR] 2004-02-21 14:26:09

N/A Thanks, but nursing is not always a bed of roses. Especially the first few weeks are tough. But in the long run I think it's worth it, really less hassle. No filling bottles with powder and water, etc. Funny, I wasn't breastfed, but as soon as I got pregnant I just knew that I would breastfeed. If you really are interested you should try it with your next one. Remember, the first few weeks are a BEAR, but beyond that it's pretty enjoyable. [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-21 00:16:07

N/A It's strange how much your life changes with a new baby isn't it? It takes a while to get used to, that's for sure. I think you should have a talk with your husband, because at least on weekends he should be helping with the baby during the night. Sure, that's his time off, but you need time off too, and he needs to realize that. It's so hard to be a new mom, you need a few good night's rest now and then too! Take care honey, you sound like you're doing great :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-02-20 23:13:47

N/A Men learn fast. It's amazing what necessity will do to you. The first day RJ was home with Cody, he called me every five minutes. After that, he was fine. He figured everything out REAL quick. [Nightscape211] 2004-02-20 20:19:32

N/A Wow, look at that, your 400th. entry! I think maybe you should schedule a haircut or manicure or something. Let hubby take care of baby boy, you pamper yourself a little. Might make you both feel better when done! Just a thought. [VR] 2004-02-20 19:46:11

N/A :) everyone has advice :) you seem to be adjusting well to parenthood :) yeah, a late night isn't necessarily so late anymore is it? :) I agree that you can't spoil a baby :)BUT....you do need to take care of yourself first. [Paige_99] 2004-02-20 13:43:48

N/A Just a little comment about the sleeping thing... Babies do not know how to manipulate, their brains have not developed enough to be able to comprehend such things...They are in primal survival mode for most of the first year. Secondly, you cannot spoil a baby. By taking care of your child in the first year ("spoiling") you are creating a person who feels comfortable, and confident in the people he relies on and in himself. Oh, and according to the chief psychiatrist at Sick Kids Hospital the worst thing you could ever do to your baby is to let them cry...You teach them that no one is there to respond to their cries... Just some friendly thoughts....Everything you teach your child lasts throughout his entire life!!! [Sassybliss] 2004-02-20 07:34:05

N/A After nine being late!! Howlingggggggggg..Welcome to parenthood *wink* Hugs and a happy weeekend to you snookums~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-19 22:21:17

N/A VR's right... but I don't think they're too crazy about formula. :-) Wonderful! So both mommy & baby are rested! It sounds like you have quite a houseful! Cody is constantly trying to "fix" things (taking my cabinet doors off) and he spends a fair amount of time at my dads garage tinkering with old carbeurators and such. He was the only 1 year old I ever saw who knew what lugnuts & hubcaps were and where they went... [Nightscape211] 2004-02-19 20:30:47

N/A Hey Kiddo..You sound MUCH better! Love reading that..hope lil man gets over his snuffles ASAP..poor tyke! Have a blast witht he hair etc..I think that is what I'm doing for my daughter for her birthday..hair, eyebrows, manicure etc..I have NO idea what else to do/get for a thirteen year old (other than money of course...lol) Big hugs to you~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-18 23:52:36

N/A hey hun, that's good that the humidifier is working...hope ur lil boy is back to good health real soon =) that's great that ur rash is starting to go away. *hugz* ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-02-17 21:45:40

N/A Hi hon, it's been a while. I feel for you, I know how rough it is learning how to deal with a new baby. Nobody does it exactly right, you wouldn't believe the mistakes I made with my boys when they were first born! Don't let yourself feel too badly about it, and if you really think you're suffering from postpartum depression, you need to talk to a doctor about it- they can get you on some medicine to help you out with that. Most of all, making sure that you're well-rested is so important, and if you need to get help, don't feel bad about that either. Being a new mom is a scary, overwhelming experience, and having your mom to help you through it is such a blessing. Take care of your new little family :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-02-17 21:16:00

N/A I'm glad that you and your little family are doing better. Things will settle down, don't worry! Have a nice day and a restful night! [VR] 2004-02-16 16:27:52

N/A "Being a mom is humbling work"...I always knew you were a smart cookie *grin* Big hugs to you kiddo..you're doing awesome~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-16 10:56:46

N/A I am so glad that your mother and mother-in-law are able to help you out! Once you and your baby start feeling better things will get into more of a routine, I'm sure! It is sooo obvious in your entries that you love your son more than anything and that you are a very loving, caring, and good mommy! Those feelings of inadequacy happen to every new mom. You did a good thing by taking him to the ER. You would have gotten even less sleep by worrying about him! [ColoradoJen] 2004-02-16 09:36:13

N/A Wow! You have a wonderful mother in law! That was so nice! At least you got some rest. And don't feel bad... us first time moms always panic over everything! If it hadn't been for the fact that my friends all had babies (giving me some practice) I would've been a total basket case! Isn't it amazing how you can read all the books in the world and get all the advice in the world and STILL God puts a twist on everything? Take care! You're doing great! [Nightscape211] 2004-02-15 21:31:28

N/A What you are going through is totally normal.....Make sure you talk about it with other people.... Just be good to yourself, and take time to feel good. Nobody every promised parenting would be easy, but it is sooo rewarding... [Sassybliss] 2004-02-13 09:41:22

N/A I dont have kids but I can just imagine how you feel. I hope you feel better soon. *hugs* [Brain Fart] 2004-02-12 18:09:30

N/A awww sweetie!!! I wish I could give you a big ol' hug right now and I don't even know you!! First of all...DON'T be so hard on yourself!! EVERY mom goes through this to some extent, and if they don't ( or say they don't) they're lying. Having a child can be so overwhelming at times! they don't do what we thought they would, they take far more time than we ever could imagine, they need far more than we ever thought they could...and when you throw in the vault of emotions ( love, fatigue, guilt, pride) it's more than most of us are equiped to handle at times. I like to do things on my own as well, I like to be independent ( superwoman syndrome at times ;)), but sometimes as moms we need to lower our pride and accept the help that is offered. Your mom is offering to help because she DOES understand. Accept what is offered if you can....it'll be better for you and baby :) okay...now I'm giving unsolicted advice....so I'll go...but one last thing...take care of yourself first...if that means lowering your pride, it might be worth it. And also...you sound like a wonderful, loving mom!! Your child is lucky to have you :) take care :) [Paige_99] 2004-02-12 12:08:05

N/A The more I read your entires, the more I think you and I do have a lot in common. I thought I would be able to have my son and go back to my normal routine in no time at all! Boy was I wrong! Lol. :-) It sounds like you definitely need a mommy-sanity day. A day to be alone. Even if all you do is soak in the tub all day, it will be a nice mental break. I don't know what you do with the little one all day, but have you ever considered "wearing" him? I carried Cody in a sling all day long... this way he never had to cry for attention, or changing. That cut out 2/3 of his the wailing! If he really has a problem with gas, you could also pump his legs in a walking motion and that will help move gas out of his system too. Has the doctor looked for a reflux problem? Sometimes that is misdiagnosed as colic. All mommy's end up with the "baby blues". It doesn't mean you don't love your baby though :-) All us moms here know that! I had a BIG depression problem throughout and after my pregnancy... but I later learned it was God working in my life. If your really concerned about your blues, you should definitely talk it over with your doctor. It never hurts. And just remember... God NEVER gives us more than we can handle! :-) And this stage will pass before you know it... I got married shortly after I turned 18. I was still in High School. Of course, here in NJ it's almost unheard of! Lol. [Nightscape211] 2004-02-11 21:51:28

N/A Oh my sweet friend!!!! there is nothing wrong with oy other than a feeling of *OH MY GAWD* Its difficult to adjust..go home to mom, let her help..You're an awesome gal and an awesome mom..we all are human and can use a hand ~HUGE hugs ~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-11 21:46:26

N/A Awww. You'll be ok. It sounds to me like you are going through a perfectly normal experience. Think about it, your hormones are probably going nuts right about now. I'm sure there are alot of first time Moms that have went through what you are going through. As for baby boy, here are a couple more things we used to do to get Tristan to stop crying, that seemed to work. Put baby on his stomach across your legs to burp him. To sooth him hold him close to you in a cradle position or a burping position and rock forward and backward. I'm sure there are tons of chat rooms or message boards for first time Mom's. Maybe you can find a little support group there. It will get better for you and you sound like you are going to be a great Mommy! [VR] 2004-02-11 17:15:55

N/A I hope you were able to get some sleep last night!!! :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-02-11 07:59:31

N/A My best friend during the colicky stage (which I promise does eventually go away, but you do just have to wait it out) was gripe water, and ovol...If you haven't tried ovol, do! I don't know if you will be able to get it in the U.S. as it is a Canadian product, but look into it..It works almost instantly with gas...You will find it in the pharmacy beside Tums... [Sassybliss] 2004-02-11 07:19:00

N/A Yes, so far I'm very happy with this doctor. I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon :-) Poor baby... they didn't do the circumcision in the hospital? I'm surprised. Cody's was done when he was two days old. REading your entries, I remember running off of a couple hours of sleep... but it was definitely worth it :-) Take care [Nightscape211] 2004-02-10 21:34:57

N/A Hope you and baby boy sleep good tonight! [VR] 2004-02-10 16:42:12

N/A Nothing quite like a child that can't be soothed!!! My thoughts are with you..I wouldn't go through that stage again if my life was in danger *grinning* Hope you've solved the problem kiddo~hugging you and lil one~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-09 20:25:46

N/A Did you try boiling fennel seeds? It always worked on my sister..and she was the most colicky child you've ever seen! Or you could try rubbing his belly in the "I -Love-U" pattern. It helps move gas through their little systems quickly. Poor little guy! He must've been in pain! I hope he sleeps well for you tonight! You need the rest too! [Nightscape211] 2004-02-09 17:47:01

N/A I'm glad things got better for you. I'm a bit tired myself today. Was tossing and turning all night. [VR] 2004-02-09 12:22:45

N/A it's almost like new moms are blessed ( cursed) with an extended adreniline rush...I remember being amazed that I could go for as long as I could with very little sleep...for about 6 wks. Then I died :) so take care of yourself :) kids have an amazing (an annoying at times) way of not going according to our plans - good thing that they're so cute :) take care :) [Paige_99] 2004-02-09 11:31:57

N/A I'm caught up on your entries! It sounds like you are adjusting to being a first-time mommy really well. I'm just amazed that you find the time to keep up with your diary. It's fun reading about your new baby! :o) [ColoradoJen] 2004-02-09 01:06:32

N/A I agree whole heartedly with above comments..there is NO reason why the fellow shouldnt get up for at least ONE feed through the night on the weekend...Hope you find common ground kiddo~Big hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-08 00:53:47

N/A I agree with Sassybliss. RJ never thought he had to share in helping with Cody since he worked all day... and you know we moms don't do anything except sit around all day. (sarcastic) You can't run all day and then have minimal sleep at night. Yes, a new baby is a quite a bit of work, but you still have to take care of yourself too. Now, can you imagine if you were trying to do everything with staples from one hip to the other? :-) Really..talk to him. You'll only hurt yourself if you don't. Take care! [Nightscape211] 2004-02-07 19:34:02

N/A SOunds like you need to Have "the talk" with your husband...About shared responsibility etc...My husband and I devised a weekend plan...I sleep in on Saturdays, he sleeps in on Sundays...You need to communicate the expectations of who does what, when! Otherwise you will end up resenting him, and you certainly don't want that...It is hard enough being a new mother, you don't want your husband to become a problem too!! Good luck, get some damn sleep if you can! [Sassybliss] 2004-02-07 13:56:41

N/A My cousins son would eat 8oz every three hours on the nose for the first three months. You would never know it looking at him now.. and he's the same age as Cody. Besides, their bodies are little chemical factories at this stage and they grow a lot in a short time. It'll be alright :-) [Nightscape211] 2004-02-07 08:47:03

N/A playing the radio sounds like a good idea, hopefully it works =) hope ya have a good visit with ur friend and boss...have a great weekend toodles [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-02-06 16:51:25

N/A Nope, you don't really have to worry about overfeeding at this age. When he is full he will turn his head away or let you know somehow that he is done. And the day/night thing should straighten out soon. We use white noise machines to help our kids sleep at night and during naps. You can do that or some soothing repetitive music like Pachelbels Canon in D. You sound like you're doing great, but I worry that you are not resting enough. That can catch up with you so be careful. Taking car of yourself is insurance for your whole family's well being. Remember that if "Mama aint happy, aint nobody happy" it is so true! [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-06 15:35:27

N/A I honestly don't think lil guy will over eat..its not in them to be gluttonous...Only us big people. *grin* I remember my Dr telling me that the reason babies seem to sleep during the evening is that when you're pregnant, you're on the move all day so that rocks the baby to sleep..in the evening you go to bed and the baby wakes up..so..on birth..they seem to do the same thing until you can get their schedule turned around. Hope you're taking it easy and don't rush going back to work...~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-06 12:59:48

N/A Techniques for getting a baby back to sleep, drive in the car, vacuum cleaner, washer/dryer noise, dishwasher. I have heard that you should let the baby cry for 10 minutes after that it's ok to pick him up.. Although I am sure there are many different opinions on this. [VR] 2004-02-06 11:49:04

N/A wow..you're an energizer bunny!! don't be too hard on yourself and try to rest up when you need it :) just take it one day at a time :) [Paige_99] 2004-02-06 11:41:20

N/A You know..I've ALWAYS liked coming in here and reading about your day..Now it makes me smile even more. You're one happy Momma~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-06 01:01:54

N/A Awww...U hadda baby?!?! That's SO adorable! I want one SO bad...but Im only 17 so I gotta wait a while. lol. **Thanks for commenting in my diary ;-) I'll be reading urs more often! Byes! ~*Steph*~ [S_Del] 2004-02-05 23:42:19

N/A Huggies, try huggies! I hog the bed too! I sleep sideways, upside down, half off, you name it! lol [VR] 2004-02-05 22:01:19

N/A Tallywacker..that's cute. Lol. Actually, I was going to ask the same thing. And I'm amazed how such tiny beings can expel poop with the force that they do. :-) [Nightscape211] 2004-02-05 20:57:54

N/A When they are this little it is almost impossible to always get the diaper snug enough to prevent leaks. So it has nothing to do with your diapering skill lol! Try to get the leg elastics snug up against his skin though, that's probably what he's peeing through. And are you pointing his tallywacker down every time? [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-05 19:42:12

N/A RYN: I don't know... but one guy was so distruaght, he jumped off the Brooklyn bridge..and ended up in a 10 ft pile of snow! [Nightscape211] 2004-02-04 20:22:29

N/A Sounds like you're having a good day....Love reading it! New borns are just the cutest things..eat sleep and snuggle (ok..plus poop *wink*) Enjoy it Kiddo..it goes SO fast~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-04 18:09:31

N/A You know, sometimes it just takes a little while for their little tummies to mature. Also some are just "spitters". Miss five was like a little volcano when she was a newborn. You have no idea how many cribsheets, receiving blankets, spitrags, we went through. Not to mention changing her clothes and mine several times a day. [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-04 12:19:17

N/A RYN: Three total. One girl. ("Miss five" or "Birdy") Two boys. Our oldest boy is two years old ("Little bitty man") and the youngest is of course our three month old little "nursling". [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-04 12:11:15

N/A I let my first slep with me..didn't the second....I don't think it made much difference! do what YOU feel is right..and what YOU want to! Thats what counts..and I said it once, will again..I have no doubt you're making an awesome mom~Hugs to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-04 01:21:25

N/A Doctors also endorse "back to sleep" but my son hasn't slept on his back since the day he was brought home. Just remember: Doctors are people with letters after their names. They aren't perfect. You're his momma.. you do what you feel is right regardless of what is "normal". [Nightscape211] 2004-02-03 21:50:03

N/A my parents let me sleep with them, so did half the people I work with. LOL What's wrong with this line? I don't think you can hold them too much when they are so little like that, the only thing about letting them sleep with you when he is so little is that you might roll over and hurt him. My opinion, I would just hold him, rock him, then lay him down. He will get used to it. Even if you want to hold him for an hour or two. My one friend used to get mad if someone called while her baby was sleeping. Then her baby got used to a totally quiet house. Babies will sleep through just about anything if they get used to it. When Tristan was a baby he slept through the dog barking. Anyways, I don't think you can spoil them when they are newborns, I would just worry about the rolling over. [VR] 2004-02-03 12:17:39

N/A You're sad to see hubby go because you're witnessing and experiencing some of the most amazing things that you'll ever see/go thru. You want hubby there to see it too...:) it's normal :) and hormones aren't helping :) give that baby all the cuddling and loving you can :) [Paige_99] 2004-02-03 00:40:27

N/A I'm going to take the little man to see the third Harry Potter when it comes out in June for his borthday. It will be his first time to the movies. He's obsessed with HP and sits through the movies, so I figured it would be a good one to start with. [Nightscape211] 2004-02-02 22:13:49

N/A You sound good...you getting sleep??? Ahh as much as I LOVE babies..I'm SOOO glad I'm done all that *grin* Dang I sound like an old bat don't i??*wink* Hugs to you and lil one~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-02 20:38:45

N/A All babies are different. When I had Hailey she would be like that on and off. Then she would sure enough poop a lot in her diaper. Sometimes it would be every other day and sometimes it would be 2 to 3 times a day. Or like 3 or 4 times a week. It all depends. And I feel lonely when my fiance' leaves for work too. He's usually not home until like after midnight so it gets lonely. That is why I have my little baby girl to be with and keep company. I wish you all the best with your baby boy. Please take care and keep in touch. Love Kristy. [BrandNewMommy] 2004-02-02 18:31:33

N/A Hey Girl..welcome home to lil guy..How wonderful! As for the dying up..did they not give you any pills to help with it?? cause from what I hear it can get pretty painful without. Good luck. You're smart..trying to get lil one used to NOT being held all the time..thats a mistake too many people make..then the babies never want to be set down. ( I did it with my first..Didn't make the same mistake with the second) Anyhoo...Big hugs to you and your fam~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-02-02 13:57:41

N/A it takes a couple of days cold turkey...longer and more painful with each kid :) hot compresses, hot showers....or even express a little from time to time :) I'm glad all's going well :) [Paige_99] 2004-02-02 13:21:26

N/A Awww, how sweet. Glad baby boy is home and your little family is adjusting well! [VR] 2004-02-01 21:37:11

N/A Aww..poor little guy is probably still used to sleeping tight in mommy's tummy with the sound of her heartbeat to lull him to sleep. My son slept next to me until he was about three months old.. big enough to reach out and feel the sides of his bassinet at night. Just be careful with the chair. They are great inventions, but you don't want too much pressure on his little spine. Oh geez, listen to me giving unsolicited advice. Just ignore me... [Nightscape211] 2004-02-01 21:17:58

N/A This is going to sound goofy...but put a couple cabbage leaves in your bra cups. Change them when they get real wilty. Supposed to help with the pain and dry the milk up faster. [Kanawiosta] 2004-02-01 21:03:30

N/A I have to admit... I was leary of breastfeeding at first, but my baby never wanted a bottle from me. It worked out well in the end... I would've never been able to afford formula at the rate he was eating! lol. What a beautiful name. How wonderful!! [Nightscape211] 2004-02-01 10:48:54

N/A I really really hope he got to come home today! I absolutely love the name, btw :) Hope you're doing well! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-31 23:46:05

N/A Congradulations!! What a wonderful gift right before valentines day. I hope all your love will bring him everabundant happyness. [haolcatx] 2004-01-31 23:19:05

N/A I LOVE his name!!!! Nosey me..I'm sorry...I was just curious..as it seems so many Dr.s reccomend nursing. BUT...I've always felt it was a personal choice. Hope B.B gets to come home today!~Hugs to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-31 22:41:52

N/A Congratulations! I'm glad you had an easy delivery, and I hope that your baby will be home with you today! I bet it was hard not to be with him. Anyhow, you are officially a mommy.... can you believe it? [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-31 17:17:16

WE HAVE A BABY!!!!! PAGE 2 Oh, honey I am SOOOO happy for you!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!! Yes, we need to know all about the details, how long, how much he weighed, his name, EVERYTHING!!! I hope you're feeling well. You sound like you did a great job in the delivery room. I'm glad you got the epidural, I'm all for them. Pitocin on the other hand, I HATE!!! You know, I was wondering how you'd know when it was time to have the baby. I didn't know with either of my boys- I had to be told both times that I was in labor too! lol!! I think it's so funny that you peed on the nurse, but it's nothing to be embarassed about- I'm sure they've seen much worse :) I am so happy for you, really, I can't wait til your new baby gets to come home to you. Also, I have a question for you, if you don't mind giving out your address, you could email it to me at defosse44@msn.com I'd love to be able to send you something for the new mommy and baby :) If not, I completely understand, I am just so happy for you :) Take it easy for a few days, get lots of rest, and even though I know that you love things to be tidy, really don't overdo it when you have the baby shower. New mommies need loads of rest because it's an exhausting job :) CONGRATULATIONS again!!!! :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-30 16:03:53

After I had my first baby I wanted to strangle all those people who told me it would be hell, since my labor and deliveries seem to bea the easiest in the world. It was all such a beauticul experience! Glad you enjoyed yours too. You hold that little man and love him...they grow up soooooooo fast. Congratulations to you and hubby again! [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-30 03:10:47

N/A :) hubby's just practicing being quiet for when the baby comes :) [Paige_99] 2004-01-27 10:07:47

N/A EGAD..you'd better get your self in gear and do it now!!lol As waiting in the hospital wouldn't be too fun...unless they induced you..which wouldn't be much fun either! Sending *baby come now * vibes your way~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-27 01:52:26

N/A I think you are right about over 4 and having to stay put! Any minute now, your baby will be here! Can't wait to hear all about him! [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-26 21:44:03

N/A you hold down alt and press 0169 on your keypad. [sui generis] 2004-01-26 17:42:48

N/A ur baby's room sounds nice, the pastor certainly made an interesting point about no fines for killing babies...musta been a good sermon. nehoo hope ya have a good week and don't feel sick too much *hugz* ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-01-26 16:38:33

N/A DRAT!! And here I was just waiting to hear all...lolol When are you due for your next check up???? AND..when is your OFFICIAL due date???? Anyways....Waiting with baited breath...lol~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-25 23:54:25

N/A I love little old ladies who call me dear...something about it is very enduring :)good luck...they tend to come when you least expect it :) ( babies that is :))... [Paige_99] 2004-01-25 21:58:12

N/A Thank you :-) I'm sure your little one will be just as cute, if not more so! The baby's room sounds adorable. My son's room is bright blue, but I sponge painted the ceiling to look like the sky. And I put up a classic pooh border. Of course, now he wants Bob the Builder and all car stuff... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-25 20:38:14

N/A The baby's room sounds lovely. Have a nice week. Thanx for the comment! [mother goose] 2004-01-25 19:23:26

N/A I found out from other people telling me about these diarys, and I read a few myself. [FakeFinder] 2004-01-25 17:35:27

N/A LOL Glad you are doing fine and getting baby's room done! It sounds really cute! [VR] 2004-01-25 16:54:22

N/A I'm caught up on your entries!!!!! I'm anxious to hear if you went into labor this weekend! I can't wait to hear all about your new arrival!! [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-25 06:52:47

N/A No Cgdp?? Does this mean what I think it means????? Its Saturday the 24th..and WHERE are YOU??? Hope all is going splendid~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-25 01:25:01

N/A I am sure you will sleep well tonight....dreaming of the baby coming soon! [Hvezda] 2004-01-24 23:36:23

N/A I was gonna say.. that burst of energy is a sure sign the baby will be here soon! I was thinking the same thing... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-24 12:03:54

N/A you are totally going to have that baby...Cleaning is the first symptom of labour!!! [Sassybliss] 2004-01-24 09:10:25

N/A Ditto on th jacuzzi tub, we have one ourselves. Wouldn't be without it, so relaxing at the end of the day. Congratulations on the hubby's loot...and on the nesting, it won't be long now! [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-24 05:34:42

N/A Wow! It sounds like you are going through that "nesting" phase I was talking about with all of your cleaning! That's really cool, all of that stuff that hubby got, that must have been fun picking it out. Your puppy story was funny, I could just picture it. I think that she finds new love, that treats her right on Sullivan Island! As for the bathroom, go for it! The bathroom and the kitchen cost the most to remodel, but they also contribute the most to your equity. My Mom just redid her bathroom. She had my brother put in a skylight, a bay window and a jacuzzi tub. The theme is Thomas Kinkaid and the colors are a darker green and lavendar. It looks awesome! If you ever get a new tub, get a jacuzzi tub, they are great! [VR] 2004-01-24 03:23:24

N/A Boy, I sure could've used your co-workers! I have just finished! What color is baby's room going to be? I love shopping for baby stuff, they have such cute clothes! I heard a little about that prison thing. They probably figure they don't have anything better to do! [VR] 2004-01-23 20:24:11

N/A hey, at the club you get beads or hawaii leis by seducing the boys lol. Me and Jolene just dance with the boys and take their beads, they usually give them up pretty easily, especially if they're drunk, I would never flash them, lol. love, AMie [StaryBuzzMeme] 2004-01-23 20:11:45

N/A Ok..SEX tonight..supposed to bring on the baby...LOLOLOL Have fun kiddo~Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-23 20:11:14

N/A aww that's sad that the woman's mother passed away, she'll be in my prayers, hope ur hubby cheers up ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-01-23 11:21:26

N/A At least your body is getting ready. Always a good thing :-) You would think a pediatrician would have a nebulizer in the office. But she views it as treating asthma and since it's not her specialty... Ack! Frustratuion.... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-23 09:54:13

N/A Those spread out contractions are good for your labor. Hope hubby perks up soon. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-23 00:08:59

N/A Do you think maybe that hubby is getting a little nervous? You seem to be doing good though! When's the shower? [VR] 2004-01-22 21:19:21

N/A No baby, baby, baby??yet??? soon enough...saw a VERY cute baby in the hospital yesterday..thought of you..Soon..lol Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-22 19:51:45

N/A glad to hear ur gonna keep updating after you have the baby, got any ideas for names yet? i burnt my mouth yesterday with pizza sauce! right behind my front teeth so now it has a gross rawish feeling, ugh such a pain nehoo hope ya have a great day ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-01-22 15:27:56

N/A Honestly?? you are NOT allowed to disappear *grin* Anyways...Looking forward to the day you write..NOW..HE's COMING NOW!!!!! *grin* Thnx for your note about my pops...I really appreciate it hon~Hugging ya~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-22 00:07:29

N/A Honey let me tell you something. After that baby is born you are not going to have the time or the energy to keep us updated on things. Hey I could be wrong, but this is my third kid. I'm lucky to get a shower every three or four days, or even to get to go the bathroom. Changing clothes on a daily basis is a fond memory...etc. We'll see though, maybe you'll fare better than the rest of us. (But I'm laughing about you being so sure about it! No offense I hope.) [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-21 23:11:29

N/A it's so busy...busier than you can imagine after the baby is born..that's why they dissapear for a while :) [Paige_99] 2004-01-21 22:26:54

N/A Don't forget to pick up some Dreft for Baby's clothes! This is a good place to keep track of all of baby's changes. That's why I write alot of stuff about the kids on here. I figure when they are older I can get everything together that pertains to them and then they will have a nice remembrance of their youth. Just remember to periodically go in, copy and paste to Word just in case the site closes down! [VR] 2004-01-21 20:36:51

N/A aww to bad that the cat made u lose all ur work, good luck with the baby...hopefully u continue to not have any pain from it *hugz* ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-01-21 10:37:57

N/A OMG....Promise me..You won't run away like the other Mommies in here..I'd miss you like MAD!!! How exciting though..I can't wait *smile* And you..OMG...what a thrill huh?? ready??? Hugs and hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-21 00:29:11

N/A I love your cat....yeap you'd like to kill them, but they are too cute to do that...must be exiting to be expecting...are you ready for the baby's arrival? [Hvezda] 2004-01-20 22:40:21

N/A Hey..yeh they do it everywhere...OMG your pregnant!?Ever since I had my baby I just feel so in touch with pregnant women...You have to give me your e-mail.i would love to talk to you.I was pregnant for 42 WEEKS!I didnt feel like I was ready to have a baby but I tell you....I wanted that thing OUT.....LOL ~~~ME~~~ [MothaGoose] 2004-01-20 22:05:16

N/A Congrats on the baby! [muzakluvah] 2004-01-20 21:53:13

N/A Until you get that last burst of energy and scrub the kitchen floor or drink a bottle of castor oil, I wouldn't worry just yet. And this is coming from the gal who was in hard labor for three days and didn't dilate one iota... Thank you for your prayers. They are always appreciated. [Nightscape211] 2004-01-20 21:31:01

N/A Wow. Cat story is funny, you have to admit. Are you ready to have the baby? Did you go through that "nesting" phase yet? [VR] 2004-01-20 21:21:35

N/A That is VERY strange indeed about the pencil sharpener on the belt loop. Seems like you're really having contractions a lot lately? I never did get many braxton hicks ones- just the real thing when it was time. I'm glad you had a nice time with your family, and I can relate to how sad you feel when they leave. Whenever my brother is back from Kentucky, it always gives me this sinking feeling in my stomach to watch them pull away when it's time to go. I hate that feeling. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-19 19:42:29

N/A My Mom made a fleece blanket with Tristan that did not need to be sewn. He loves it, he got to help. You just take 2 pieces of fleece, lay them together both facing outward. Cut 1/2 wide fringes all around the edges, the cuts are about 4 inches into the fabric, then you go around and tie the fringes together (which connects the 2 pieces of fabric). You can do the same thing to make a pillow and you can put beads on the pillow! I'm sure any fabric store would know the exact dimensions. [VR] 2004-01-19 05:19:45

N/A Thanks for checking out my diary... the answer to your question: He called me twice the first weekend he was gone... and I have not heard from him since. Thus my dwelling... hahaha [Kleopatra] 2004-01-19 01:57:06

N/A Those soft fleece blankets are a GREAT idea! I got one from Patrick's sister for Christmas -- and I think it just might be my favorite! I think butter must be a kid thing... I used to dip my finger in butter all the time when I was little! [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-18 22:56:31

N/A Haha. Love the butter story! We used to put milk in our jello and to this day I still have a peanut butter and dill pickle sandwich every now and then! I think if you look for the person with the backpack filled with coloring books you will find a buyer! Actually, I bought this house 4 1/2 years ago from a 92 year old man, so I have been redoing all of the rooms. So far I have refinished the kitchen, my bedroom, the pantry, the living room and the dining room. It was in much need of updating, as you could imagine. I didn't even move in here for a year (my Mom lives a mile away, so I stayed at her house all that time). The first year I was here I stripped wallpaper and woodwork. There was alot of junk that I had to get rid of. My Brother plastered all of my ceilings for me and helped me refinish the drywall on the walls. I've put in a couple gardens, planted 2 trees, put on a new side door and screen door and glassblock. I'm getting there, but I still have much to do. After the bedroom I need to finish the pantry and this summer I want to work on my porch (it is enclosed). I want to paint it and put in carpeting. I also want to get carpeting for the living room and dining room. Last, but not least, I have an upstairs that is partially finished, that I will work on. [VR] 2004-01-18 21:35:03

N/A kids like every gimmick...pencil sharpners that attach to their belt loops, toe socks, belt chains? lol..if you can market it, kids will buy it :) I read that Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas too....I loved ( still do ) the story of the five balls :) [Paige_99] 2004-01-18 21:07:58

N/A Glad you had fun with your family. My Brother did call. He was helping someone fix something in their house. My Mom's not mad at him anymore. [VR] 2004-01-18 17:30:25

N/A It doesn't really matter how big the baby's head is, it will shift. (Unless you have superfast labors like me and they don't have time to get pointy!) [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-18 17:14:53

N/A I'm so glad you had such a great weekend with your family. I bet they miss you the same, or even more, after they leave! I'm sure they will be back soon, though, when you have the baby --- right? [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-18 16:40:39

N/A Have a wonderful time with your fam kiddo.....Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-18 12:08:41

N/A My eyes are always to the ground, now that I think about it. But it makes sense, I guess. Enjoy your time with your family! [Nightscape211] 2004-01-17 21:59:46

N/A Interesting observation about the eyes. I will have to check that out! Kids are so cute when they start to talk. That's why I write alot of stuff about what the kids say in here. I figured when they are older I will get all of these little sayings together and put them in a little book for them. Here's another idea for you. Last year Sarah colored and wrote all over a empty sweater box. It says stuff like "groovy" and "I love Daniel", etc, stuff that a 10 year old would write. Anyways I have saved that box and she does not know this. I am going to wrap her 16, 18 or 21st. birthday present up in it! I need to get Tristan to do one too. Have fun with your family! [VR] 2004-01-16 20:29:44

N/A Ah, I'm sure I'll keep writing here.. it's about the only thing I like to do! And there are such nice people here! Hmm... I have one best friend. That's it. And the people I still see on occasion have kids too.. if it wasn't for that, we'd probaby have drifted apart. I can relate. [Nightscape211] 2004-01-16 17:12:23

N/A I don't think you are a loner. If you were you wouldn't have a husband! Are you shy? You are just more family oriented I would think! [VR] 2004-01-16 05:50:59

N/A Honestly..I haven't a BEST friend who isn't a member of my family and truth be told..I don't feel as though I'm missing anything (not usually) I've always been a loner and there isn't a thing wrong with it..Is there? I think you're a great young lady....Better quality of friends than quantity I think~Hugs and a great weekend to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-15 23:49:09

N/A Just so you know, I just left a note on your last entry too. I hate driving, unless I have a good book to read while someone else is driving or else I just want to take a nap. But I hate being behind the wheel. I would rather walk everywhere I go than have to drive. Unfortunately, I can't do that because I live way too far away from everywhere I need to be! About friends- my sisters and I talk about this- it's weird, because we are all each other's best friends. I have Josh and Gina and Brit, but I'm closer to my sisters than to anyone on the planet. And there are things that I would tell certain sisters that I wouldn't tell others, but I think when you've got five sisters, that's to be expected! I don't think there's anything wrong though with not having one designated best friend. I guess you do kind of seem like a loner now that you mention it, but you also seem so friendly that you don't at the same time. Does that make any sense? [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-15 21:25:04

N/A I had a lot of catching up to do! I am surprised, but very happy for you that you seem to be doing so well this late in your pregnancy. I know for me, the end was the worst, with it being hard to breathe, and not being able to get comfy because of always having little feet stuck up in my ribcage. Hopefully, since you work for a pediatrician, you'll be able to get free formula for your baby when he's born? My sister Debbie was a nurse for a pediatrician when Justin was born, so we barely ever had to actually buy formula- that was so nice! Especially because formula can become pretty expensive. I'll bet you are so anxious to see your new neice! I know I would be :) Take care, sounds like you're really doing great. :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-15 21:19:53

N/A How about the 11th? That's a good day too! Wow! So close already! The appt is set... hopefully I can get an answer as to what the deal is with my poor baby... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-14 22:14:44

N/A I love that time of pregnancy...good luck with things :) [Paige_99] 2004-01-14 21:47:23

N/A good luck w. your baby! I am glad that he is in the right position :-D xoxoxo [ShimmerShadow] 2004-01-14 18:28:59

N/A Wow just about a month away to giving birth. Aren't you scared of it. I'd be frightened to death. I give you major props for bringing a child into this insane world. Because I know I can't do a thing like that. I don't think I ever want children, but I'm happy for you. Poor kitty got chased out of bed by doggie. Woof! Woof! Meow! Meow! I hope the scratch heals soon. Best of luck with you wee one to be. ~Meghan~ [sad_and_blue] 2004-01-14 14:58:43

N/A The last month is hard. So happy to hear your husband is getting a clue, and being a little more perceptive. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-13 22:16:31

N/A I told you, you have to wait until the 20th. to have that baby, that's my birthday! Stand on your head or something! LOL Just kidding, glad everything is going well with you and baby boy! [VR] 2004-01-13 18:50:53

N/A I like reading a book and then watching the movie after... [Paige_99] 2004-01-13 09:04:41

N/A Hey Chickadee..I've not heard of the movie either...lol Guess I'm a hillbilly! And yes..if the problem isn't resolved by the time I go back to work (a couple of weeks I think) I'll go see the dreaded Dr...ARGH! Hugs to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-12 22:04:52

N/A isn't that the show that Oprah did? that price for a sitter sounds very very reasonable! [Paige_99] 2004-01-12 12:20:25

N/A Restlessness? Is your due date possibly nearer than you realized? Hmmm...pack your bag just in case sweety. [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-12 04:34:48

N/A I saw the movie. Can't remember it, other that it was good, Now when are you due again? [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-11 23:39:41

N/A RYN: My name is VERY common... and yet I was harrassed in school. Heh. Kids are mean. She's beautiful now.. I can't imagine how much prettier she'll be when her head is back to normal! She looks just like her daddy... Then again, my son looked like me in the beginning and now he looks more like his father each day.. so who knows? :-) [Nightscape211] 2004-01-11 22:40:21

N/A Beloved.. is that by Toni Morrison? That was an excellent book! Yeah, it's a movie...starring Oprah. $90 a week? Wow! I wish! Right now I'm paying $795/mo for daycare... and that doesn't include meals, diapers ect. Even most sitters in my area want about that much! [Nightscape211] 2004-01-11 22:24:36

N/A Fun question! I would be a wilderness guide in the Rocky mountains --- taking visitors on horseback rides, hikes, etc. I keep telling Patrick that if we ever get rich --- that's what I'm going to do! [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-11 18:23:11

N/A I'd open a dance studio and have all kinds of ethnic dance classes. Then I could free lessons :) [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-11 18:09:22

N/A Okay, here is my dream job...a taste tester for Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I could DO that, just give me a shot! Pay me to eat ice cream, yes! [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-11 10:40:56

N/A OK, If I could choose my job, which I could if I motivated enough, it would be: A buyer for Pier One, a singer or a painter or maybe the owner of a tiki bar in Keywest! If I won the lottery I would DEFINATELY quit work. I would travel, volunteer, paint and take classes in glass sculpture, art, politics and some kind of instrument. Maybe the piano or the flute. Some of these I will probably do anyway, hopefully I will do them all. I could just do them sooner with the lottery. I would buy a house in Keywest, pay off mine here and help support some of my favorite kids! Of course, I would help out family and friends too. [VR] 2004-01-11 07:44:50

N/A First...Not all labours are hard..mine was a breeze!! both of them truth be told. )in case you were worried) Second..I'd be a writer, a painter a veterinarian..own my own animal shelter with WAY too many animals, I'd work with homelss kids and ...maybe try flying..Good golly..I'd do it all *wink* Big hugs to you kiddo~Stacy P.S..we'll open our own shelter together one day..ok? *grin* [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-11 00:56:46

N/A Hmm.. I would write and write and write and never stop... RYN: I didn't receive any prenatal care until I was 8 months along. I was due May 31 but never went into labor. I had gestational diabetes and developed hypertension and no one wanted to induce me because of my lack of care... So they let me go until June 26, almost a month late. At 7am that morning, that ran Pitocin through an IV and I went into labor but I was dilating, so they broke my water. It's not supposed to hurt, but I screamed like a banshee..the doctor who did it screwed up. And my son had already passed the meconium (first stool) I laid in bed, in hard labor, for THREE days... without dilating. They even used cervidal on top of the pitocin! Nothing was working. On the third night (the 28th) my doctor came in and asked how I was... I said, "Is the room supposed to spin like this?" I had felt sick all day. Because the doctor who broke my water had scraped my uterus, my son's stool had gotten into my blood stream. I was going into Toxic Shock. My temp was up to 105 degrees my blood pressure was dangerously high and I couldn't breathe without oxygen, so they scheduled me for an emergency c-section. The anesthesiologist on call was over-stressed (there were three other women ready for epidurals, but he had to do me first as I was an emergancy) I asked for general, but he wanted to do the epidural. He attempted eight times.. every needle bent as he was trying to stick me... and he kept hitting nerve endings... my arm jerked once, and I felt pain down my left leg another time. He wanted to keep going until my doctor saw me crying and grabbed his arm. He was so pissed about being told what to do he over-anesthetized me. When they stapled me shut and tried to wake me up, I opened my eyes, but couldn't breathe. The anes had paralyzed me. They had to rush me to ICU. Even then, there was no ventilator available and they had to wait. They gave me something to break down the anes faster. When a ventilator was ready, they were putting the tube down my throat wrong. I tried to move my hands to tell them they were hurting me, but they just tied my hands to the bed, thinking I was having convulsions. They gave me more anes to knock me out and I slipped into a coma. I came out of it the next day.. but I had so many complications they left me in ICU. Even when they finally moved me to the regular maternity ward, they had given me so many radiopharmaceuticals, I couldn't breastfeed right away! (My hospital bill totaled over $32,000) After all is said and done 2 and 12 years later... I still have diabetes. I have sciatica from the botched epidurals and my blood counts are never normal. Paps always come come back abnormal and my body still has not regulated itself. BUT.. I've got my little boy. And he was worth every moment. Sorry I've rambled on... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-10 22:17:33

N/A I would be a food critic. Lol. That would be an awesome job. :) Oh, I was wondering, what does cgd stand for? I've always seen people with those initials. [derekjeterfan2ny] 2004-01-10 20:56:31

N/A I agree. I think you should call your doctor and ask about the swelling. How much longer til you have the baby? (I know, I know... too long! Right?!!) [Missin Mississippi] 2004-01-10 11:33:49

N/A I used to get real puffy towards the end. Just make sure you take off your wedding ring soon. If you leave it on, the hospital will make you take it off, and if you can't get it off, they'll cut it off. That's good that some maternity clothes are still big on you. It didn't matter how skinny I was before I got pregnant, I still filled those puppies out. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-10 10:26:32

N/A That's nice news about work. If you are still swollen tomorrow you should probably call your ob/gyn. There is a condition that pregnant women get where they retain water. I can't remember the name of it but a girl that I used to work with had it. She would take off hers shoes and her feet would be puffed out way past the line of her shoe! It's nothing to worry about but it does need to be addressed. Have a good weekend. [VR] 2004-01-10 07:47:41

N/A I hate when that happens! [VR] 2004-01-09 19:41:25

N/A That is so cool that your boss is going to decorate the baby's nursery for you. I didn't have a themed or decorated room until the twins, and that is only somewhat so. I have a hard time enjoying myself when I am concerned about money. Okay, so that's 24/7. It comes from being overly responsible and taking life too seriously, at least for me. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-08 23:10:25

N/A Hey! I have a suggestion for you! If you can, get a video monitor instead of an audio one for the baby's room. You can probably get one for around $100 now. Maybe your Mom can get you one. They are awesome! More so when the baby is a toddler. LOL It is so cool to be able to watch them wake up and play uninterrupted in the crib, talking to themselves! Tristan used to do that, it was so neat. He would just walk around in his crib, la de da de da, playing and talking. If you walk in the room though, you can't catch that. I painted his nursery for him. It took me 3 months, every night painting. His Mom wanted a zebra on the wall. She ended up with a zebra, an elephant (all you saw when you first walked in the room was the elephants butt! around the corner was the rest of the elephant), a cheetah, 2 giraffes, a toucan, a frog, a lion, a tiger, vines, flowers, a tree (that kind of looked like the Keebler tree) and a monkey hanging by his tail, holding a banana! That was the only mural I have ever done and I had fun! Tristan just loved it! They were all happy, smiling, cartoon animals of course! Anyways, the video monitors are great! If I had hit that 67 million I would buy you one! Take care, Vicky [VR] 2004-01-08 21:50:01

N/A Sleep would be so nice right now... [Nightscape211] 2004-01-08 21:07:21

N/A That's great! See that, you can practice with your Sister's baby! Did you invite your Mother-in-Law to the baby shower? Is she coming? If she does then I would just let your friends know to pay special attention to your Mom, because you are going to be busy opening presents! Yippee! Well, have fun with your Sister! Vicky [VR] 2004-01-07 18:34:56

N/A That's great! See that, you can practice with your Sister's baby! Did you invite your Mother-in-Law to the baby shower? Is she coming? Vicky [VR] 2004-01-07 18:34:56

N/A You'll find a phone is very convenient. I had one for a while, a pay as you go type, and I really liked it a lot for the little I used it. I think the comment you made to your co-worker was funny. Some people just take life way too seriously. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-07 10:16:55

N/A Wow, I had so much catching up to do! It's getting so close to baby time for you. Sounds like your emotions have been a little fluctuating, which is totally normal- you seem to be handling it much better than I ever did though- I was the stereotypical crazy pregnant woman! I'm glad your holidays seemed to have been so nice, and I'm so sorry to hear about Cupcake, I know how much you love your pets. Let's see- what else did I have to say?? Oh, I think you made the right choice inviting your mother in law to the baby shower, that way no feelings will be hurt. If she tries to control things you can always make subtle comments to let her know that it's a big day for your mother, so not to try to run the whole show. I'm glad your husband is liking his new job! I'm not much of a pet person, so that wouldn't work out with me so well- but I have always wanted a Chow, you know what kind of dog that is right? They are so majestic looking- very regal. Well, I've rambled enough, take care! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2004-01-07 00:45:37

N/A Wouldn't it be easier to pay the bills online?? Nosey me *grin* I just find it SO much easier! Big hugs to you Kiddo~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-06 23:07:38

N/A Congrats on the phones. I know how you feel. These days there are so many things that are considered "normal" utilites...cell phones, pagers, internet, cable. It used to be just gas, phone, electric. I can't afford all of that either so I pick one thing. I should have the cell phone for breakdowns but I have AOL! Thanks for the comment on my last entry. This book really has me thinking, there are some really powerful principles in it! [VR] 2004-01-06 20:01:00

N/A Maybe invite her to spend (part of) the previous weekend with you and tell her it's because you know you wouldn't get to spend enough time with her if she were at the shower with all those other people? This might be one for Dr. Laura. [Ambivalent] 2004-01-06 09:00:10

N/A If you invite her too late her feelings will be hurt anyway. You have to invite her or she will really be upset. You really never know how things are going to go at events like that, a lot of females together in a room usually doesn't end up like you planned. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-05 21:56:26

N/A Well, if it was my MIL, I'd tell her to rot... hehehe. Seriously, I'd invite her. But if you're worried she'll take over, I'd wait till the last second possible (without being too late) to invite her. [Nightscape211] 2004-01-05 21:15:58

N/A I'd invite the in law...I'd imagine she'd be rather hurt if you didn't..Maybe you could get a friend who would steer her away if she got too overbearing???? Just a thought..I know my mom in law is like that and when she is down visiting..NONE of my family members come by....lol BUT..I love her all the same~Hugs to you Kiddo~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-05 20:49:13

N/A It is hard when the husband has his reality escape. I hope he gets over it soon. You are doing the right thing by just doing what you should be doing and not waiting for him. Sometimes it's more fun that way too. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-04 21:58:23

N/A My mother almost caved and signed that loan for my sister. I just rolled my eyes and my mother put the pen down. My sister knows how to manipulate our parents :-P I used to throw things at RJ all the time when I was pregnant..whether or not he deserved it. Hehe. I think you're entitled to being grumpy. Why do men think it's easy to carry a baby around? Hmm. So you'll get to see your sisters baby? Awww. Take care! [Nightscape211] 2004-01-04 20:43:43

N/A I don't think you need to feel guilty or mean. Here you are in your last stage of pregnancy, and it seems like you're doing most of the work! Hope it all works out with your sissy coming in to town. I'm sure it will be great to have her around! Will she be able to be there for your delivery, by the way? [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-04 20:42:31

N/A Hope you feel better soon. I have days like that myself! [VR] 2004-01-04 20:19:18

N/A I know... the break was too short! I start my unpaid internships tomorrow. Ick! [ColoradoJen] 2004-01-04 16:22:13

N/A Watch those sleep patterns now. Whatever you're sleeping now the baby sleeps too. Make sure you don't do marathon sleeping during the day. The last bit of pregnancy is plain ole torture. You are so tired and uncomfortable and just testy. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-04 15:06:53

N/A I haven't been able to read much since the twins were born. GO figure. I miss it too. [Jen B Goode] 2004-01-04 10:00:03

N/A hey, sounds like you've been keeping busy and having a good/fun time =) have a great weekend ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2004-01-02 23:16:29

N/A You sound like a teenager ^_^. [MakenZero] 2004-01-02 20:57:42

N/A Happy Happy New Years Kiddo!!!!! Sorry to hear about Cupcake but y ou're right..she is so much better off rather than suffering...Also happy to hear your sis's lil one is doing good...I'm so behind on you that I'm going to have to read back..Best Wishes to you for the new years hon~Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2004-01-01 21:48:09

N/A I would have to agree, skinny little green men. Don't forget the big bulging eyes! [VR] 2004-01-01 18:15:54

N/A You're pregnant!!! Congratulations!!! I love hearing baby heartbeats too :)))))))) [Brain Fart] 2004-01-01 17:33:51

N/A Happy New Year! A heartbeat what a wonderful sound of life. [Starwind] 2004-01-01 13:38:59

N/A And how far along are you now? You sound pretty uncomfortable but it's not unbearable yet is it? [Kanawiosta] 2004-01-01 00:48:24

N/A glad to hear your baby and your sister's baby are doing well :o) [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-31 11:00:38

N/A RYN: I thought Mormons were not allowed to marry someone outside of their church, and that if they had, they wouldn't be allowed back to the Mormon church??? Thanks for your comments. They made me feel better! [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-30 11:08:24

N/A The dry skin might be a pregnancy thing too??? Although, my skin really takes a beating during the winter. Water water water and lotion, lotion, lotion! Looking forward to hearing about your doctor's appointment! [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-30 11:01:52

N/A thanks for your comment the other day. I looked through some entries on your diary, they're pretty cool. I am glad that you have only did it w/ your husband, that is really good. How long have you been married? How far along are you in your pregnancy? talk to you later ~ [ShimmerShadow] 2003-12-29 21:40:43

N/A Thank you for the advice...sometimes I need a reminder of who's really in charge of the universe :-) My family has always been matriarichal...that is, the women were always in control. The men never seemed to have the ability to assume leadership. When I got married, my husband promised he would do anything and everything to support me & our children. He even told me he wanted me to be able to stay at home. (Which is what I wanted from the beginning...to be able to be at home with Cody) In the end, he decided he didn't really want to work, and the work he wanted was out of his reach. (He dropped out of HS & never got his GED and was looking for a job that would pay him $15/hr)So I ended up working two jobs while I was pregnant & JUST made the cut-off for my health insurance to be effective before my son was born. Then, I was home for two months (with no income whatsoever) and I had to go back to work...and leave my son home with my husband. Big mistake. HUGE. Men are not meant to be nuturers... and I was not meant to be the provider. I take care of everything.. bills, old debts, maintenance, you name it. Even when he was at home, he never took care of the dishes or the regualr house chores. He amounted to a baby-sitter and not much else. I know I should be able to concede to whatever he decides... but he's forced everything else into my hands for so long, it's like...okay, where do I draw the line? I think I'm just going to pray very hard about it. Afterall, nothing is ever REALLY in my hands... [Nightscape211] 2003-12-29 18:30:48

N/A I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but I know what you mean about it being better for Cupcake. No one wants their pets to suffer. I'm glad you have other pets to console you -- not that they replace Cupcake. She will always have a special place in your hearts. [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-29 13:18:22

N/A Thanks for visiting my diary. My condolences on Cupcake -- I had a cat for 13 years and cared for him through a stroke. Had him put down after a second stroke, it was so horrible to watch him suffer. At least you've got your other 4-legged friends to be around. [Ambivalent] 2003-12-29 08:11:07

N/A Awww :*-( [Nightscape211] 2003-12-28 21:58:24

N/A OMG.... LOL that was funny about your niece...I would be so TOTALLY embarrased... i feel for your sister....HA HA...I am sooo sorry about Cupcake...I know what it feels like to lose a loved one and by that & in this case i mean a pet....its very sad..... Im sooo sorry.... :( Signed, Sorry [Rip_town_rebel_chick] 2003-12-28 21:52:44

N/A Yummy, a new bed. A good excuse to spend money- new sheets, what about new comforter? DOn't let me encourage you. I bet your m-i-l feels horrible about breaking the lamp. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-28 16:11:34

N/A Aah, the youngest is always the baby! Congrats on the new bed and sorry about your lamp. I'm sure your Dad will be able to fix it. I don't know if you have these around you but, Bed, Bath and Beyond have some pretty nice sheets and they are reasonable. Also, if you sign up on their mailing list they will send you a coupon for 20% off of $l5 or more. [VR] 2003-12-28 12:14:30

N/A I agree with you about the 2 weke notice. You never really want to burn your bridges. I hope someone's lied to your husband and he didn't lie to you. there are two things in this world I can't stand: liars and thieves... [Nightscape211] 2003-12-27 21:02:04

N/A The book is great. You should check it out! Kitten? Did I miss something? Did you get another kitty? I want one! [VR] 2003-12-27 15:40:34

N/A to answer your question... my mom will take care of my daughter for me until i have compleated my training. hugs, jackie [alone again] 2003-12-27 15:08:48

N/A Yea, Pirates of the Caribbean is an awesome movie. So funny! It's my new fave! Hmm... why did he give his two weeks notice? Hope everything goes fine tonight with your in laws and all! [Away From Me] 2003-12-27 12:35:03

N/A I'm glad you had fun at the birthday party. I don't blaim you for being frustrated with your husband about that- I would be too. I hope all goes well with your in-laws. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-27 11:39:53

N/A Payson? Payson, Arizona? Did you know I went to NAU in Flagstaff and grew up in Tucson? I know you have family in Colorado, right? I guess I'm confused about where you live :o) [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-27 11:22:49

N/A Hey.... im glad u commented on my diary i will add u to my favorites [rip_town_rebel_chick] 2003-12-27 11:04:12

N/A hey there! i'm glad you had a good time! [mother goose] 2003-12-27 10:58:38

N/A I can sympathize with the not being able to breathe- I know how much that sucks! I've never actually read a Mary Higgins Clark book- maybe I will buy one tomorrow- any recommendations? [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-27 03:09:35

N/A I always find it easier to shop for my friends daughter than for my son. I always find the greatest things for little girls! But never for boys :-P Shoprite was almost empty. It was a good thing too.. I had a LOT to get! [Nightscape211] 2003-12-26 22:10:26

N/A When are you due to have your baby??? Is it a boy or a girl??? What are you going to name him/her?!? Oh man, I'm so out of the loop and curious. Merry Christmas! :-) [Cherry Limespider] 2003-12-26 17:05:19

N/A Hard to breathe and hard to eat means you are almost done. Almost. Gotta love those after Christmas sales. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-26 16:38:00

N/A I learned later that RJ was pissed off at me for being civil to Ox when I first came in. I made some mindless small talk with him when he asked me how life was. That and RJ and I have an understanding... I don't say anything about how he deals with his folks... and he doesn't say anything about mine. It's sounds like you had a very nice time though. I think next year, I'm just going to stay home so I won't get myself into trouble... [Nightscape211] 2003-12-26 08:42:31

N/A I'm glad you had such a nice Christmas- you really deserved it! Hope Santa was good to you as well :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-26 01:12:34

N/A Sleep sounds lovely. Get some for me? [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-25 22:55:14

N/A I Love the sound of how your day went. When I get married, I hope my days are just like this. Merry Christmas. [Mandaland] 2003-12-25 20:49:19

N/A Your stamina impresses me. All that baking. I haven't done hardly any baking this year, since the twins have had this awful cold and everything else. I really developed a love for oysters when I was pregnant. You have a wonderful Christmas! [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-24 14:20:30

N/A I don't think that the Lord intends for people or animals to have a slow or painful death. I hope you have a great Christmas! [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-24 10:28:51

N/A You got some great deals on groceries lady! In case I don't talk to you before then, Merry Christmas! :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-23 22:44:17

N/A That would be such a hard decision to make- I don't know what I'd do in that position. I'm sure whatever you decide though is done out of love, so try not to feel guilty. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-22 22:35:48

N/A Everyone in within a five mile radius of RJ in the past week has suddenly come down with the flu... including my co-workers :-P I think they're all blaming me now... [Nightscape211] 2003-12-22 21:07:43

N/A I hope your kitty is ok! Did you get a flu shot? It was highly recommended for my sister, because she is pregnant. But she is a couple of months behind you in her pregnancy (5 and a 1/2 months). [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-22 20:08:45

N/A I had to put my kitty to sleep about 6 years ago. Wow, it doesn't seem that long. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I am just now getting to the point that I want a kitten. I hope Cupcake gets better for you. How old is Cupcake? I think I will get a kitten in the spring. [VR] 2003-12-22 18:23:33

N/A Sounds like fun. It's too bad I can barely work the toaster let alone cook things for the holidays. My mom is no better. Hehe, we'll probably go to my nana's and she does the magnificant cooking. Duck and all. Well have fun cooking for your family. Take care and keep in touch. Love, Meghan [sad_and_blue] 2003-12-22 17:34:58

N/A Here's another idea for your Grandma...I always get my Grandma an Amaryllis bulb. They grow superfast are easy to care for and get a couple huge flowers on them. I get my Grandma red. You can usually get them at Walmart for about $4. Hope your Grandma likes her bamboo plant! [VR] 2003-12-22 11:08:47

N/A I'm back! Congrats on finishing your shopping. I'm hoping mine will get done today! I went to Wal-Mart yesterday too and they were out of loaf pans which I need for my chocolate chip banana bread.... grrrr. I'm gonna catch up on the rest of your entries now. I hope the baby is ok!!!! [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-22 08:11:29

N/A I saw a pregnant woman at the mall and thought of you. How awesome for hubby! [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-20 11:02:51

N/A Congrats to your hubby! That's wonderful! I can't believe how many Christmas parties are actually before Christmas! I think my boss is just sadistic and likes to make us all work UNTIL noon of Christmas Eve just to watch us suffer! Lol! [Nightscape211] 2003-12-20 08:29:30

N/A I had some catching up to do! About that anonymous comment- I wouldn't worry about what anyone who comments without using their own sign-in name has to say. Total chickenshits. Anyway, enough about that. Sometimes I think that Jason and your husband are very similar. Jason can be somewhat of a mama's boy and it drives me absolutely crazy. He is also not the most manly man in the world (I come from a family whose men can fix anything that breaks, repair appliances, fix cars, and build things out of wood. You know- the works). Jason can't do these things so well, and that can make me crazy, but at least he does try, so I can live with that. Both him and your husband (according to you and I anyway) can sometimes be like girls in that they act like babies. I love Jason though, and I know you love your husband, it is just a trying part of their personalities to deal with. You do well though. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-19 21:18:17

N/A How exciting about your hubby's job! What a way to start a new year! I used to love quitting jobs, tehehe. I have been at my job for a long time now. [VR] 2003-12-19 20:23:27

N/A Oh Superman on Smallville is SUCH a hunk. Oh my word. You are lucky that you hubby is a fan, and you can drool all over inconspicously. I am serious. I am thinking that tomorrow I will be done with the Christmas shopping, after I go pick up the double stroller. I am such a stinking tightwad, I have a hard time parting with such a huge amount for something I already have that somewhat works. We shall see what happens. It was obvious to me that anon hadn't read your diary through. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-19 00:01:54

N/A hey hun, u kinda sound like my mum, she's very detail oriented to so that's a compliment. Hopefully ur husband can see that ur giving him good advice and maybe a better job will come along that he's interested in. enjoy the rest of ur week toodles [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-12-18 16:15:27

N/A I hope everything works out for you. You have every right to be concerned. Has your hubby considered taking up some kind of trade? Maybe he could go to school at nights or get into some kind of apprentiship program. Guys don't like advice, unless they ask for it. It's an ego thing. [VR] 2003-12-18 11:09:52

N/A Ignore the bloody anonymous...As I always say..walk a mile in their shoes before judging..meaning anonymous..not yours Hon. I hope things turn out for the best kiddo~Big hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-17 23:56:16

N/A Whoa. Anyway, you hardly ever get into specifics or what he is doing. I think the fact you realized that the Lord will take care of you was apparant in the phone call with his mom. Husband don't take leading very well in the job department. Every time I have given my husabnd advice- good advice at that- it has always back fired and he's held me accountable cause he listened to me. Not pretty. It's one thing to be asked for you opinion and give it w/o being emotionally attached. It's another to be very pregnant and dealing w/ a husband who's freaking out with the anticipation of having his first child. Hugs- [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-17 23:33:39

N/A Either you accept him the way he is or let him go. You act more like his mother bashing him. No wonder he doesn't want to try and better himself your right there waiting to tell him how he isn't a man or he can't do this or that. Your poor child. GROW UP [Anonymous] 2003-12-17 19:37:32

N/A Congrats on being an aunt again. I really can't believe they discharged her that soon. With both boys, it was mandatory that I stay 24 hours minimum, and with Justin, I had to stay 2 nights. I'm glad to hear that she's doing ok though, and that things are looking good for the baby. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-17 13:55:29

N/A Congratulations! Vicky [VR] 2003-12-17 10:35:03

N/A congrats to ur sister for having her baby, that's good that he doesn't have any serious problems even tho he came early, hopefully it stays that way =) ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-12-16 23:28:13

N/A Awwww..congrats Auntie C...Hope all is well with your Nephew and your sis is feeling better soon! Big hugs to you and your family~s [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-16 23:09:09

N/A Fingers, eyes and toes crossed that all go well with the interview!! big hugs your way~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-16 00:26:00

N/A I don't like the idea of him telling his work that you're having pregnancy problems. I am totally superstitious like that- for instance, I will never use my kids as an excuse to skip class (like saying they're sick) because then I'm afraid they'll actually get sick. I know, I'm a fruitcake, but I can't help it. I hope his interview goes well- since they called him back for a second one, that sounds promising! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-15 22:33:50

N/A Your sister must be getting excited! Hope your hubby does well on his interview. I am going to write my soldier a letter tomorrow, that is one of the questions I was going to ask him. I'm just glad he wrote back, I sent him 3 care packages for Christmas and I would've been really bummed if he didn't get them. Vicky [VR] 2003-12-15 19:59:44

N/A So far, it's been peaceful.. and I like it that way. My one cousin had a baby girl last week. They named her Breanna. My other cousins are due Dec. 20 & Jan 15. Babies!! I love them. As long as your husband's new employer doesn't call the old one for verification, you should be okay. I'd just be leery about saying you were having pregnancy problems.. call me superstitous :-P Wishing your sister and safe & speedy delivery! [Nightscape211] 2003-12-15 19:54:16

N/A Your weekend was as busy as mine! [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-15 12:20:44

N/A Wow, you are quite a busy woman! I do that too- pick a car to follow when I'm lost. It usually works pretty well! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-15 10:53:46

N/A Hope you're feeling better now Kiddo! Have a great week~hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-15 01:19:47

N/A Your Sister didn't have her baby yet? When is she due? I had a pretty laid back weekend for once. I am usually running around! [VR] 2003-12-14 20:21:14

N/A Interviewing scares me! *gulp* [madonna wannabe] 2003-12-13 18:45:15

N/A I like your answer for his weakness. It's original and easily corrected. I'm not that great at interviews either. I have been at my job for 17 years, so I am pretty rusty at interviews! Have fun this weekend! [VR] 2003-12-13 07:13:48

N/A that's a good idea that ur practicing interview questions with him, sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you...have fun at the christmas party =) ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-12-12 23:37:13

N/A I think the typing one is a good answer because it's true and it's something that can easily come back to him with practice, so it's not that big a deal. Have fun at your party! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-12 22:19:49

N/A Do you split the cooking with your fella? you should..as you work too..one day yours..the next his...lol *nosey dragon here* Anyways..have fun at your staff party~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-12 21:31:40

N/A hopefully the "sick" lady has a speedy recovery, and that ur husband gets the job =) have a great weekend ttyl [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-12-12 17:07:56

N/A I agree- wordiness is not an atribute on a resume. I hope he gets the job- good benefits are so important when you have a baby to think of! Plus, working where you do, you know how many shots and well baby checks, etc. that you have to take the little ones to. It can get expensive without good health care coverage! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-12 00:58:53

N/A Fingers crossed for your fella..As good as you are as a wife..I bet you'll be even more so (if thats possible) as a mom~Hugs to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-11 19:42:34

N/A Woooohhoooooo. Store discount! LOL I wish him luck. [VR] 2003-12-11 18:35:27

N/A Ha, it starts with 20 minutes, but we'll win you yet. EQ ain't so bad, I just think its alright, and i've been playing it for almost 5 years. Use the time to talk to other people, you can be sociable for like 20 minutes, think of it as a big chatroom :-) [Ostvel] 2003-12-11 09:38:38

N/A I would have backed up..and honked *grin* Then told them..I wanted two...just for their mistake!!! (kidding) Men..can't live with em..can't shoot em!! big hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-11 00:19:21

N/A I hate video games- I do not understand why men are so infatuated with them- I'd rather curl up with a good book any day. I think you were right about the McDonald's thing- it was their mistake, so why not back up if you're not making anyone else wait? By the way, yes, I did tell my parents about us being engaged, they're both very happy- they like Jason a lot. :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-10 22:14:22

N/A I would've backed up, all they had to do is throw another sandwich in, if it was going to be a wait they would've told you to pull over. What are "pieces of coppers"? [VR] 2003-12-10 19:52:37

N/A Lol.Amazing how the silliest things turn into great debates, right? And there's nothing rude about backing up and making the people behind you wait... the Mickey D's people should've checked the order out more thoroughly. (I can say that.. I worked in fast food for four years.) And you're right... but I'll continue to be a friend to this girl and help her when I can. I just can't wrap my brain about her conclusion that religion equals stupidity. [Nightscape211] 2003-12-10 19:43:44

N/A If you really want the baby now, swallow a couple TBs of castor oil and scrub the kitchen floor. Lol! Thanks for your comment. I never turn down prayer. [Nightscape211] 2003-12-09 20:33:05

N/A Have a break when baby is born?? someone misinformed you kiddo...lololol Happy Monday hon~hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-09 00:04:02

N/A Guys do need their man friends. Sounds like a lovely day. Peaceful, serene, so foreign to me. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-07 19:06:43

N/A All you want for Christmas is a puppy? Are you insane? You can seriously think that w/ the upcoming birth? You are a bonafide pet person. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-06 17:30:18

N/A Thanks for commenting. I hope you start feeling better soon. Wow, already 29 weeks along, I bet u are excited to be having that baby in no time. Well I hope your sore throat goes away soon. Wow, your cat is 17 years old. That is a long time. I wish I could have a pet but no pets aloud in the new apartment. Well hey get some rest and talk to you again soon I hope. Take Care! Meghan [sad_and_blue] 2003-12-06 03:14:10

N/A PHEH..my mom still has her flu shot sitting in my fridge..I'm nagging her about taking it down and getting it done at the clinic...I'm hoping I had my round with the bugger and thats it! Have a super weekend..even if you have to work tomorrow~hugs your way Hon~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-06 01:33:13

N/A I've been hearing that about the flu shot around here too- the media is making it sound like we're all going to die if we don't get it, which is absolutely ridiculous. There was a time when there was no flu shot- I guess people forget that though. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-05 23:17:31

N/A I've missed a few entries (had to stay away from MDD for awhile so I could get some school work done). I'm suprised your sissy hasn't had her baby yet. I thought she was in labor a few days ago??? Anyhow, I hope she's doing o.k. My friends had insomnia in the last few months of their pregnancy, and it's started for my sister already too. [ColoradoJen] 2003-12-04 18:48:42

N/A Your poor sister- being pregnant is so hard. I feel for her. Glad Cupcake is having a good day! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-04 11:29:11

N/A How far along are you now? I guess I need to go back read your diary over. It's been awhile since I have checked up on you. Who is cupcake? Your dog or cat? I hope she gets her vision back. Tumors in her mouch-Aw that must be horrible. Well I moved out of dickhead Hanks with my mom and we got into a 2 bedroom apartment and now it's just the two of us. And I am so relieved. Take care and keep in touch. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Talk to you soon I hope. -Meghan- [sad_and_blue] 2003-12-04 04:28:15

N/A Wow that sucks, fired on the spot. It sucks to be her. I find it very cool that you and your sis are both pregnant. Built in buddies, is what you have. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-04 00:38:23

N/A Mischief...lol (got ahead of myself..) [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-03 20:50:01

N/A Hey girl...Your poor sis..When is she due anyways???? As for cupcake..good to hear she had a good day..hopefully more to come... So..I've decided on Rascal or Mishcief..which one do you think?? Hugging ya~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-03 20:49:18

N/A Roaring my azz off!! Joey???? lololol...Poor cupcake..but its amazing how well these animals adapt..cats are truly incredible. as for *scap*..I'll pass the name to the son and see what he thinks..Thank you ~smile~ Hopefully you have a much better sleep tonight~Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-03 00:47:30

N/A Joey speaks at your cat's funeral. Did he say- hey, how YOU doing? to you? [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-03 00:28:53

N/A Your poor kitty, that is so sad. I'm glad she's not crying and taking it too hard though. That would be terrible. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-02 23:37:00

N/A Sorry bout cupcake...:( I agree, Wendy's chicken sandwiches rock the casbah!! MM mm mmmmm [SshImStalkingBillNye] 2003-12-02 23:18:25

N/A Cupcake will be fine! My bro had 2 cats and one crawled into someones car by the engine and got a leg chopped off and he was fine! It didn't even change his sweet personality! I love cats. I had to put one to sleep a couple of years ago and swore that I would never get another one, but I think it is time. I miss him and want another one. I think in the spring I will get one or maybe 2! I love friends too! LOL Sometimes I blow off my real friend's phone calls because I am watching friends! Not all the time, just sometimes! I love Joey and Phoebe, they just crack me up! As for shopping online...I have never had a problem, alot of times you can get things so much cheaper and it is delivered right to your door and quick! I use my debit card and don't worry about it at all as long as the website is secure. Amazon has free shipping if you order $25 or more, they also have independent vendors (that do not get your credit card info) that offer used products like books or cds. I have orders these quite a few times and have never had a problem! [VR] 2003-12-02 22:02:02

N/A Aww, poor sweetie. When we lived in MI, we had a dog who was blind. She just followed our 22 yr old Golden Retreiver everywhere. She always stopped to listen and smell everything before she moved. She did pretty well. Want to know smething funny? I had a Red Tabby named Romeo! lol [Nightscape211] 2003-12-02 20:39:37

N/A You talked about the Italian Job, it's so funny- Jason and I watched that movie and had that EXACT same debate!! Isn't that weird?! But he agreed with what your husband said, that he wasn't in NKOTB. Odd that we both thought so. I hated not being able to clean my bathroom the way I liked when I was pregnant. I use very harsh chemicals, because I like it sanitary- I want to be able to eat off the countertop it's so clean (I obviously wouldn't really eat off the countertop though). But when I was pregnant, the smell of the chemicals would make me nauseous, so I had to switch to a different cleanser, which I didn't like. Ok, I don't know why I told you all that! lol! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-12-02 01:29:10

N/A Lol...the story's just another one of those funny "What Ifs?" As far as I know, at least. [PrometheusX] 2003-12-02 01:02:49

N/A I don't get the Friends where Monica is fat either. I am so sure. Ryn- I had to chop off my bangs again- I have a landing strip for a forehead. Those new mom worries are not at all strange, I had worse ones. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-02 00:40:15

N/A I'd offer you MY place to clean too..but, I don't want you to over do it *wink* Hopefully you've heard from the hubby by now~Sweet Dreams kiddo~Hugs~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-12-02 00:21:21

N/A You're not kidding! And there's no such thing as rent control anymore. I'm paying $850 in rent each month.. my parents only pay $425.. and that's been steady for 20 years! Blah. Hopefully thing turn around. Take care! [Nightscape211] 2003-12-01 22:31:38

N/A I love IHOP. Yum! I agree with you & your sis.. they may as well just stop the meds and let her go. Bed rest is no picnic either. :-P I hate hearing stories about unfortunate babies. It kills me. I want to stick a sign on my front door that says, "If you have an unwanted child, leave here!" I may not be the best wife in the world, but I love being a mom. And with all the options available to pregnant women, I can not understand the mentality... [Nightscape211] 2003-12-01 17:51:53

N/A I swear Mark Wahlberg was in New Kids on the Block. They were the brothers in the group. I swear he was. [Jen B Goode] 2003-12-01 16:57:30

N/A I hope your sister has her baby soon! Is she past due? I think that I am going to get a kitten in the spring. I had a cat that I had to put to sleep a couple of years ago and it about killed me. I think I am ready for another one. You aren't changing the kitty litter are you? You're not supposed to when you are pregnant, you probably know that already, just wanted to make sure! Have a good one! [VR] 2003-12-01 12:22:56

N/A heh no, Mark Wahlberg wasn't in teh new kids on the block, but his brother Donny was. Mark sang the song "Good Vibrations" and went by the name "Marky Mark"... and i definately agree that he's one hot tamale =D [Aquenita] 2003-11-30 23:57:47

N/A Hay, I used to HATE beer. I hated the taste of it. But then, I started hanging out with my guy friends more and more... and thats allll they drank. So I guess it grew on me and now I love it. I used to drink Zimas and those types of drinks. I still will but I would prefer beer lol. Anyway, thanks for commenting ~Emily [red2330] 2003-11-30 22:17:13

N/A ::shivers:: Man I can still Remember when they had their own T.V. Animate show... UGH! >.< [MakenZero] 2003-11-30 17:12:31

N/A AH... babies are soooo exciting! My sister and bil find out the sex of their baby on Monday! I can't wait! RYN: There's a little bit of everything on the T2T ring, but more young girls are starting to see my side. It feels horrible to know that some are so disillusioned about eating disorders and support groups. T82 and I are able to present things to each other in an adult way, though, so that's good. She's at least keeping my comments in her diary so that others can read them. [ColoradoJen] 2003-11-30 09:37:48

N/A I don't blame you for feeling that way regarding your husband's ex-girlfriend. It's natural to feel very self-conscious when you're pregnant, I know I did anyway!!! Thanks for the comments regarding the sex thing, it's nice to know that at least I'm not the only one that has to deal with that. I don't understand though why it doesn't bother you. Do you mind if I ask a totally personal question? Do you have orgasms when you 2 have sex? I never did until I was 20 and I know you just turned 20 not so long ago so I am just curious. Also, my sister Meagan and friend Britney are younger than me and they haven't had them yet either. I just can't imagine why else it wouldn't make you completely crazy like it does me!!! I hope your sister's baby is just fine, you'll have to keep us all posted about how it goes! :) [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-30 00:47:29

N/A hey, i hope everything goes well for ur sister and that the baby is delivered fine even tho it's premature, hopefully it's healthy. enjoy the rest of ur weekend toodles [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-11-29 17:59:09

N/A And I hope everything goes well for your sister! Best of love and luck! [Nightscape211] 2003-11-29 13:12:15

N/A We've been married for 3 1/2 years. The only reason I stayed in the first place was because of my son. Now, I'm not financially independent enough to leave. And even if I did, he would always be a part of my life because we have a child...whether or not I want him to be. That, and my parents are enamoured of him, and he has no one here. His family is all out of state. At this point, I don't know if I will leave him... [Nightscape211] 2003-11-29 13:01:19

N/A I wish your sister all the best and hop[e all goes well with her bambino!! Hugs to you~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-29 12:21:14

N/A Have a great weekend Kiddo~Hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-29 00:34:32

N/A are all grandmas brutally honest??? it seems a law on my planet... you will probably have already gone shopping by now, so i hope you had good luck with it! peace ~caitlin [some fantastic] 2003-11-28 16:36:55

N/A Sounds like you had a nice, peaceful Thanksgiving! Ours was nice too, just not so peaceful :) I really hope your shopping trip doesn't go badly- I have heard horror stories like you wouldn't believe about people going shopping the day after. Although, being pregnant, maybe people will let you cut in line? :) [Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-28 12:37:50

N/A ahh cats and christmas trees, when my grandma's cat wuz still a kitten she climbed up to the top of their tree, lol, luckily it wuz b4 the decorations were put on, after that it wuz carefully monitered to make sure she didn't try that stunt again =) [sWeEt__HeArT] 2003-11-27 23:39:39

N/A It's those little carrots that taste so good. Makes you almost wonder why a person eats candy. [Jen B Goode] 2003-11-27 22:07:45

N/A When we fight, they normally throw in their two cents and take sides. Today, they ignored me, which was unusual... [Nightscape211] 2003-11-27 21:31:48

N/A I like to make "Christmas Shopping" Lists too. So much easier that way... [Nightscape211] 2003-11-27 19:01:50

N/A Christmas shopping *SHUDDER** I'd not be able to give up the two kittens if I didn't ALREADY have four darn cats right now..all beinng strays I brought home..I swear, they eat me out of house and home...lolol Have a great four day weekend Kiddo~Hugs~Stacy P.S..good luck with your shopping! [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-27 00:14:45

N/A You are a brave woman going shopping the day after Thanksgiving! I've never been brave enough to attempt that! Email me when you get a chance, I've got a new diary :) Happy Thanksgiving! [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-26 18:51:02

N/A thanks! happy thanksgiving to you too!! aww that story reminds me of my little cousin... peace ~caitlin [some fantastic] 2003-11-26 16:05:42

N/A I'm glad you are in better spirits! That's so exciting about your sister! In about 10 days, my sister and brother in law will find out the sex of their baby. By the way, to be "anonymous", you DON'T log in. Find the author, and then hit the comment button, and you can fill in any name you want with no link to it! Cool, huh? [ColoradoJen] 2003-11-25 21:05:09

N/A RYN...Kiddo..my son IS a wonderful kid.....thank you! And I have NO doubt..with you as his mommy..He will be a gem!~hugs~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-25 20:21:50

N/A Thanks for your comment in my diary (Psychologist Sarah). I have another diary for advice if you need it. I'm studying psychology atm, so I'm not just a teenager, who thinks they are Gods gift to the world, like a lot of the other advice diaries on here. [Sarah_53] 2003-11-25 19:50:37

N/A That's an adorable story. It cheered me up so much to hear something as cute as that, thank you. :) [favourite_banana] 2003-11-25 19:18:53

N/A It is hard when kids do stuff they're not supposed to do, and make you laugh anyway. Parents are people too, and it's good for kids to learn that. I'm in the quandary of what to make for dinner- but I think I'll remain in denial. [Jen B Goode] 2003-11-25 19:12:42

N/A I know how you feel. There are times that I just want to be around my Mom too. Even if it's only for a 1/2 hour, sometimes you can just relax and pretend that you are a kid again and don't have any worries! At least you will be with your Grandma, Uncle and Hubby. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving in spite of the change of plans! Vicky [VR] 2003-11-25 05:04:33

N/A I'm sorry you can't go- that is a big disappointment. I don't blame you for feeling sad and crying- I would too. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-25 02:55:59

N/A ((BIG SQUISHY HUGS))))))) ~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-24 22:43:17

N/A Took four kids with me to the Cat in the hat...and four thumbs down..just wasn't....funny I guess...waste of money but...it was nice going out with the beasts..oops I mean, kids *wink* Ahh Hon..soon the bambino will be in your arms instead of cramping up your belly..how fun! Hugs your way~Stacy [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-24 00:40:17

N/A I'm glad the weekend went well for you, although I totally understand what you're saying about the travelling thing when you're pregnant- it is absolutely no fun at all. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-23 22:43:22

N/A It really is hard to travel when you get bigger. You seem to be taking it pretty well. [Jen B Goode] 2003-11-23 22:10:50

N/A The charlie horse cramps are the worst! I used to get them every once in a while in the middle of the night and I would just lay in bed and scream! This is what I have discovered and since then (which is about 4 months now) I have not had any charlie horses. I noticed that I would get them when I would stretch my legs. This is what I started doing, when I stretch my legs I make sure that my foot is flexed. I used to point my feet as I stretched. I know it sounds strange but I swear if you flex your feet when you stretch you will not get a charlie horse. You just have to make a conscious effort to do it while you are awake so that you can do it while you are sleeping! Try it and good luck, hope it helps because those are the worst! [VR] 2003-11-23 19:25:37

N/A That is weird about not knowing what you were mad about, but it's probably just those pregnancy hormones. My sister seems to be mad sometimes, too. At least you realize it, though... my sis has been taking it out on everyone else. [ColoradoJen] 2003-11-23 09:26:37

N/A Funny..the mad thing..hope you feel better now. as for the Charlie horses..maybe ask your dr. next time you're in...I got them REALLY bad when pregnant with my daughter...scared the crimminey out of me the first time, waking me up out of a dead sleep. Hopefully they ease up~hugging ya~S [QSD Puffy the dragon] 2003-11-23 00:32:36

N/A That is strange about you being so mad. I feel so bad for you about the charlie horse thing- that (along with heartburn) was the worst part of being pregnant. Btw, Jason rents his home- I was going to put that in my entry and forgot! Have a nice time at the inlaws. Oh and also, I am terrified of the dark too, but luckily, I never have to be home alone since I have kids. Weird thing is, usually I am a chicken, but I feel brave when I have my kids around. Probably because I know that if anything happened, I'd have to protect them, so I HAVE to be brave. [Pale Pink Cashmere] 2003-11-22 13:46:02

N/A Hey. Lol, I agree with you about the bathroom thing in books. In every book I've ever read it has never mentioned a thing about the bathroom other than perhaps brushing teeth. But yeah... sounds like things are good with you. That's cool. =) See you later. Take care. *~!Curt!~* [Bud2400] 2003-11-22 13:09:11

N/A I think it's more because KMFDM is not an American band... but that's what got to me more. I understand free speech.. heck, I can't tell you how many times my words could've landed me major trouble... but some things I just think are sacred. Ah well. That's not so weird about waking up mad for no reason... I used to do the same thing. I really think it's part of pregnancy. Hope you have fun at your in-laws! But if they're anything like mine... I'm sorry. :-P [Nightscape211] 2003-11-22 08:38:58

N/A That family time does sound horrid. Maybe after you have the baby the s-i-l's will be nicer? Your name is cute, and different too. Since I have such a common name, when picking names I was careful not to pick something too trendy. Hope your weekend is palatable :) [Jen B Goode]
